Hello Workaway, we are back!

We are a Dutch-Swiss family of 5: Esther (31), Ueli (31), Roan (4) Marun (0) and our dog Otis (6). And we're about to switch our lives and go on an adventure. Our plan is to work 3 months a year in Switzerland and go traveling the other 9 months. But we're not the kind of sight-seeing travellers, we want to learn new languages, new skills and get to know new people through workaway! This is not our first time on Workaway, it's our basis :-)

Our relationship actually started because of Workaway in 2017. We both worked on a farm/hostel/bed&breakfast in Perugia, Italy. It was a wonderful experience and our friendship turned into a relationship and now, 8 years later into a family. Back then, Ueli went back to Switzerland and Esther continued with Workaway in Spain and Portugal. And in the end she went to Switzerland and used Workaway as well.

Ueli is now a welder/ constructor. Esther is now a stay-at-home mom but until August 2024 she used to run her own Bed & Breakfast in a small town in Switzerland. We rented it for 3.5 years. The plan was to buy it, but unfortunately it didn't work out with the owner. The last 4 years we focused so much on this "dream future", that we want to get out of our heads and into the world.

We have two sons, Roan is 4 years old and has a curious and wild soul. He is always a bit careful in the beginning but once he's gone through the watching-everything-with-big-eyes phase, he is very social and plays with everyone, adults included. Our Marun was born in September 2024, we want to raise him just as social as our first son. Esther is still breastfeeding a lot, and together we are carrying Marun around a lot.

We have an active dog called Otis, he's a border collie- bergamasker. He's very attached to humans and not so much interested in other animals except for some dogs he can play with. This means,: he won't ever chase chickens, cats or other animals. He's used to children and loves to run behind sticks and frisbees. We like to walk or bike together with Otis. He even has his own dog trailer in which he can jump in and out from on our command.

Adventure is calling and we are looking forward to meet you! With changing to a couple-account we lost our reviews. We visited over 6 different workaway places.
