Description
Hi. We are an Italian queer couple who started our experience with Workaway about a year and a half ago and are still looking for new adventures, together and alone.
We left Italy with the intention of recovering the slow rhythms of life, reconnecting with nature and getting to know new places and people. We chose Mallorca because we always wanted to live by the sea and we were very fascinated by the concept of the island as a place to live and learn. We immediately fell in love with the energy of this island and decided to explore it, having various enriching and intense experiences. We worked in nature, cared for animals, cooked, had spiritual experiences, acquired new gardening and carpentry skills, and above all, we always had fun. We have always tried to bring our energy and our hunger for learning and doing to the places where we lived, and we have met wonderful people on our way and collected precious memories. This is precisely why we want to continue this wonderful experience and enrich it with new adventures.
Valentina is 27 years old, about to graduate with a degree in History and is a big fan of magic, esotericism, art and literature.She loves animals and being in nature (she have a great fascination with medicinal plants and she's studying and experimenting with them), she really enjoy cooking for herself and others, and she's a sunny and curious person.
Elisa is 30, has worked as an editorial and advertising graphic designer for years, is a tattoo enthusiast, loves printing and walking with her pets in the countryside.
The thing we have in common is a great passion for food, animals and being in nature.

We would like to learn Spanish to enrich our cultural background and because we are interested in moving to Spain.Valentina is also very good with children, she has ample experience as a babysitter and as a private teacher of Italian, English and history, and can offer her help in this area as well, especially she would love to teach Italian to those who would like to learn this wonderful language.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Valentina: I love to cook, especially desserts and vegetarian and vegan dishes, and I like to do it for others, it allows me to connect people through food. I paint as an amateur and I am a great music lover, always looking for the right soundtrack for everything. I know how to ride horses; I have done it continuously for 10 years. My father was a riding teacher and we also ran a small ranch for two years. In fact, I know how to take care of horses, donkeys, goats and rabbits, and at my grandmother's house I have a small feline colony that we take care of. I love animals very much and respect them deeply, which is why I have been a vegetarian for five years. I lived my childhood in the country so I developed a great love for nature and I don't shy away from manual labor. I can paint and I’m good at adapting to housework. I have extensive experience as a babysitter, a private teacher of Italian, English and History, and as an entertainer in summer camps. I also have experience in customer reception, I have worked in a hotel as a receptionist and in the finca where I currently live I help manage some small apartments for tourists.
I speak English, Spanish and Italian.
I am a versatile person who likes a challenge and can handle the unexpected.
I would like to learn how to do new things and challenge myself. I began my journey of change two years ago when I decided to put aside my academic career in college to take up the concept of slowness again. This travel experience is giving me a new perspective on the world and I want to deepen it even more.
Elisa: As a good Libra ascendant Virgo in the work sphere I am a quiet and very precise person. Making new projects makes me feel alive and satisfies my curiosity. It can be a simple illustration, a logo, an exhibition, a new tattoo, an event. Therefore, over time I have learned various art techniques ranging from tattooing to art printing.
My immense love for food brought me into the world of cooking, and on more than one occasion I managed the preparation of meals for a large number of people.
During my college years I participated in my town's scout group.
In my teenage years I followed my father in various construction maintenance and gardening jobs, and before the pandemic together with him I built the house in which I am currently living. For several years in the summer I have been self-sufficient thanks to the garden and vegetable garden that I cultivate by myself.
I love animals very much, in fact I have three cats and a little dog, and for 4 years I went horseback riding.
During this experience I aim to get out of my comfort zone and test my organizational and management skills.
Kira is a 6-year-old dog who is very polite and friendly. She really likes kissing people and chasing trains. She grew up sharing her space with cats, so she is used to their presence. (Kira is no longer on this earth but still accompanies us on this journey with her love.)
