Hi there!
I'm Erika, a 26 year-old motivated by gaining new skills and soaking in fresh experiences. I find joy in many things, such as taking on new projects, discovering new places, and meeting new people. I am all about working outdoors, embracing nature and enjoying every moment.

I am open and interested in all sorts of work available. I have many years of experience with manual labour jobs, as well as customer service, and childcare work.

Why Workaway?
I am taking a couple months off from my work, and in the mean time looking to expand my skillset from different volunteer opportunities, as well as cultivate happy healthy relationships within each cultural exchange.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a proud Canadian and native English speaker with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Sustainability and Resource Management. I have solo backpacked twice visiting 14 countries. My diverse experiences include working as a nanny that taught me patience, customer service jobs within the restaurant industry that taught me how to multitask, and 6 years of tree planting and forestry/ landscaping work that instilled physical and mental stamina within my work ethic alongside fuelling my passion for the outdoors.

Beyond these, I'm driven by a love for animals and a keen interest in farming, always seeking opportunities to expand my skill set. Now, I'm excited about the prospect of learning carpentry work and contributing my adaptability and enthusiasm to your home.

I am a sports enthusiast who loves playing soccer and basketball, or anything that involves running around like a kid again.

Hiking is a personal favourite, alongside swimming, skiing and dancing.

As for cozy activities I enjoy a deep journalling session, knitting something cozy or listening to a podcast. Cooking is more of a creative passion at the moment, currently looking to upgrade my skills in the kitchen :)
