Description

Hello, we are Toni and Emma, currently visiting Colombia for a couple of months and looking forward to doing workaway again - especially out in nature and with honest and caring people! We just arrived in Bogotá and are pretty much ready to start. :)

Toni (37) grew up on a farm in the Austrian countryside and Emma (28) was born and raised in a small city in northern Finland. For the past few years, we have been living, working, and studying in Vienna, Austria. We met each other about six years ago and have since worked on a few workaway projects both independently and together as a couple.

As two outdoorsy, active, and animal-loving (especially Emma) people who are up for physical labor, we are primarily interested in all kinds of farm work and working in/with nature. We would love to form friendships with the people we work with and gain knowledge about their lives: their projects, values, ambitions, and goals.

Toni is an architect and his many experiences with construction sides, electric work, and generally building stuff might come in handy. Otherwise, he is a kind, curious, and straightforward person who enjoys adventures off-road. Emma is fresh off of her studies at uni, a conscious, gentle, and diligent person who appreciates animals, likes to talk politics and feminism (not yet in Spanish though...), and sometimes needs some solitude by herself. She is quite strong, used to barn work, and can thoroughly enjoy even “simple” manual tasks. :)

Currently, we are committed to learning Spanish and appreciate any input we might get. Of course, if our knowledge of any of the languages we speak can help anyone, we are more than happy to assist in learning them. Emma is quite good in English due to her studies and can, for example, proofread or write stuff.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Help build, repair, and even plan stuff around the house/farm (Toni is an architect, Emma has two helping hands)

- Gardening (weeding, planting, harvesting, working with soil, caring for nursery, etc.)

- Electric work

- Animal care (we both have experience with dogs, cats, chicken, geese, etc.; Emma knows her way around horses)

- House maintenance, cleaning, cooking, etc.

We travel with a tent, sleeping bags, etc. so we can also sleep outside, if necessary.
