Hello! My name is Emma, I’m 20 years old, and I come from the southwest of Germany. I recently graduated from high school (Abitur) and am eager to explore the world before taking on new commitments, like studying.

I’m a curious and enthusiastic person who loves learning and trying out new skills. I absolutely love traveling—not just for the adventures but also for the opportunity to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and gain unique perspectives. Recently, I’ve enjoyed exploring nature with my bike and a tent, experiencing the simplicity and beauty of life outdoors.

I have a passion for sports, particularly running, cycling, swimming, skiing, hiking, yoga, gym workouts, and bikepacking. Spending time in nature brings me immense joy, whether it’s during an outdoor adventure or simply soaking in the beauty around me.

Cooking is another big part of my life, especially creating healthy, vegetarian dishes. I also enjoy music—I play the guitar and love to sing—as well as art, including drawing, painting, photography, theater, film, writing, and other creative pursuits and I like science. Reading and meditation are my go-to activities for relaxation and growth.

I have a deep love for animals, and my life has been enriched by my pets. I had a cat for many years, and for the past 1.5 years, I’ve shared my life with my wonderful poodle, who has been an absolute joy.

Meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and hearing the unique stories that make up their lives are things I truly cherish. I’m always open to new adventures, connections, and opportunities to grow.

Traveling through volunteering is especially meaningful to me because it allows me to connect more deeply with the people and culture of a country. I feel I can gain a more authentic understanding of the places I visit while also making a positive impact.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Being active and outdoors makes me happy, whether it’s gardening, working with animals, cooking, or spending time in nature. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and enjoy hands-on tasks.

For the past six months, I’ve been working in gastronomy as service staff, where I’ve learned how to work well with people and manage busy situations. During school, I took on various part-time jobs, including tutoring math, babysitting, and helping with theater admissions. I also spent several summers as a camp counselor, which gave me experience working with kids and organizing fun activities.

Creativity is a big part of my life—I enjoy drawing, writing, and expressing myself through art. I’ve taken courses in composition and storytelling, and I also love taking pictures and videos and editing them afterward. On the tech side, I’m familiar with Microsoft applications and have some experience with programming and video editing, which are skills I’m excited to improve.

I love being active, working with my hands, and helping out wherever I can. I’m always open to learning new skills and gaining new experiences along the way, and I’m excited about any opportunity to contribute and grow.
