Hi there, I'm Emilie from Belgium and I'm looking for my new workaway oportunity !

I already experienced Workaway several times and always enjoyed it !

In Europe I had one in Ireland (several weeks in 2019) and a second in Catalonia (Spain - 2 months in 2022) and it was totally awesome, I had a great time and met amazing people.

I'm in NZ since September and already had 2 wonderful experiences with Workaway in North Island. I worked in Whangarei for a little bit more than a month. There, I helped with gardening, cooking and cleaning. I also had an amazing experience in Hastings where I helped with cleaning, taking care of animals and cooking. I met people that I would never forget.

For now, I'm looking for a cool project in South Island. I'm craving for nature, peace and joy.

I think the perfect project for me would be somewhere I can be useful in a sustainable way and where I can work outside. I would love to connect with people who have good energy, interest in protecting the environment and are animal lovers.

I'm a hard worker, couragious and not afraid to get my hands dirty.

I love trekking (tramping as kiwis said :)), walking, cooking, going to museum, going out and watching movies.

Being a volunteer with Workaway is a great opportunity to meet new people, to learn new skills and discover new horizons at the same time.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a bachelor's degree in Communication and I did a training in Digital Marketing. I worked as a French Copywriter for one year in Malta and as Customer Agent for almost 2 years in The Netherlands. I worked in public transport in Belgium for one year and a half.

I always wanted to teach my mother tongue (French) to people even if I don't have the background to do it... If you are interested to learn, let me know !

I have also other "hands-on" skills as cooking and gardening. I lived most of my life in the countryside of Belgium so I helped in gardening, taking care of plants and vegetables and we used to heat the house with wood, so I'm not afraid to carry heavy stuff.

I can take care of animals like dogs, cats, sheep or chickens as well.

I also volunteered in NGO (Friends of the Earth (Malta), DoC (NZ)) and for cultural events like music festival. I helped in event planning and bar services. I also worked in short-term jobs as hostess, bartender, in cleaning and in clothes restocking.

I see myself as a polyvalent and courageous person, not afraid to work hard for a nice project.
