Charly : When he had 23 years old and his engineering diploma in his pocket, he asked himself "What am I doing ? This degree doesn't match with me !". Since, he did culture and artistic studies to finish as a craft brewer... He is blooming and curious, so it's the reason he wants to discover a lot of things. About his character, he has a lot of humor, he is spontaneous, sociable, creative, he LOVES board games, and he has often a scientific/logical way to think (but it's interesting...).

Elisa : Elisa is jovial. It's extremely rare for her to sulk... She can see the Positive in each situation (whichever it's nice or bad), and can give smile to anyone. She is relaxed and has a little touch of madness. She's a professional crepe maker (kinda pancakes) and vegetarian cooker. She's funny and i like her humor. She likes creativity and i have no doubt that she's creative too. I guess i've finished... Yeah i'm done.

Hello.
Our stay was only 4/5 days so not so long.

We were 2, joining 2 others volunteers we didnt know, already here for 2 weeks approx. We wanted to be in the "decoration team" and we understood that a teacher was needed on 2 days. So we accepted to be teacher these 2 days.

During our stay, we didn't speak so much with the family. Tsuguu just… read more exchanged some words about what we did while she brought the 'meal'. So communication was not good, not bad, just was not. Apparently she changed mind cause she was not like that before we arrived, told us the 2 volunteers who were already here.

About the food : meals were really the simplest things we've experienced during our 2 months travelling through Mongolia (and we know they're not well known for their cooking). It was necessary to buy cookies aside cause it was really not enough. Once we had, between 2 english lessons, 1 sliced bread with 1 egg and 1 little slice of ham on it. That's it.

About the missions : decoration was completely Ok, we did what we wanted to do : wooden signs. But about english teaching it's another case : we know how to speak english as travelers do, but to teach it, to know rules, it's completely different. As we understood children have to pay for these lessons. It's hard to think that, we, as volunteers, gave kinda english lessons (we're not pro), with no regularity in the lesson (i think they did weather/body lessons many times ....), and they paid for that. Furthermore, the level is completely different in one team : for example, in the 2nd group we had, one kid was reading harry potter without difficulties (and asking grammatical question we couldn't answer), and another kid didn't know what "sun" means. And of course we didn't know their level before we met them!

Others things : if not enough tourists in the camp, she'll probably ask you to not work for 1 day, and pay as a tourist for your bed. Understand, it's for the guesthouse survival.
If you have to go to the airport or the bus station, her husband will bring you. It has a cost of course. Like everything there (shower, and things that the bar sells : so we bought our own coffee, tea, juice).

I will finish on this : comparison with the others volunteers she had. At the end she told us that we did good, we're not lazy like some of the volunteers she had.. We really don't like that, to be compared with others volunteers, and she put us in an uncomfortable situation.

Actually we had great time with kids, they are motivated to learn english and we were even a bit sad to let them after few days. But we don't recommand this workaway if you want to discover mongolian culture. We red the other comments on this workaway and most of them are really good. So maybe we were just unlucky, maybe it was not a good moment for her. We don't know, we just wanted to share our feeling.
