Hello! I'm Elsa, an 18 year-old student from Oxford, England, taking a year out before starting university where I will study Linguistics. I love languages, I speak English and French and have studied Latin and Ancient Greek, and I would love to learn many more in the years to come.
I adore all animals, particularly cats. Any animals I meet will be showered in love.
I don't shy away from manual tasks, and I have experience helping on family farms in my childhood.
Beyond languages, I'm a keen musician (violin, piano and singing) and I'm an amateur photographer.
I'm keen to see the world and get some life experience in this year out, so all adventures welcome!

I'm a native English speaker, which has it's perks - but also means I've grown up monolingual, much to my dismay. I speak an excellent French, and have studied Latin and Ancient Greek although not many people speak those nowadays! My next language conquest is German, but Modern Greek is high up there on the list. I'm going to study Linguistics at university, so I am a self-proclaimed language enthusiast.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have just finished my A-levels, and have an offer from the University of Cambridge to study linguistics.
I'm a keen musician, a violinist at Grade 8 standard, and self-taught pianist. I was a chorister in the girls choir at Christ Church Cathedral (Oxford University) for six years.
I have experience on farms. My great-uncle was a goat farmer, and I used to help out when we visited. My grandparents live in the Lake District next to a farm, and I've helped out the farmers in their village on several occasions too, bottle-feeding orphaned lambs. I don't shy away from manual labour, and I'm very happy to get my hands muddy.
As well as loving animals, I'm a people-person, and I work well in a team.

I do my best to keep fit! My go-to sport is running, but I adore water sports, particularly sailing, kayaking and paddle-boarding.
