Eloïse : After a master degree in Environmental management in France and Québec, I decided it was time for me to discover a bit of the world, but without plane (train, boat, hitchhiking only). I backpacked 2 months in Ireland (ending the trip with my adventurous friend Marine), started a small carrier in environmental education, and then backpacked again to discover Spain on my own. There, I met tree planters from Québec who convinced me to try this unusual experience : so now I live in Québec, I work in a micro brewery during the winter and plant trees during the summer!
As an extremely curious, hard working, optimist and friendly girl, I'm always trying to make new experiences and learn from and with others. My purpose in life is to grow my own food in a small farm (permaculture!!) to reach autonomy and keep my sustainable way of life.
I'm a nature lover, enjoying outdoors and physical activities, not scared from the mud or dust and often looking for my limits. I also am super artistic, musician, painting and drawing, cooking, doing DIY whenever I have time!

We met during our master degree, and travelled alone and together in Ireland thanks to workaways.
Marine :
I just ended my master degree in ecosystem management so before any work in this field I wanted to discover the world, different cultures, working on Spanish, maintenaing english and learn about the life in a farm and in a community.
Indeed, I have a project to create a farm or a community farm with sustainable ways of living, spiritual approaches and rescued animals. I'ld would like also to build some eco-houses like the "Kerterre" and a natural pool to restore and help the biodiversity around. I must likely to have a farm in southern France so the next summers will be warm and dry, we need some water for life :)
So I'm doing these work aways to learn from your experience in order to know if it is a project that is meant to be for me, and what are the concretes problems and solutions we can face during a farmer's life.
I'm very curious so I read a lot (mainly about spirituality, philosophy), learn a lot (currently I'm improving my Spanish skills and ornithological knowledges), and discover a lot cities and museum to know more about the history of the communities and the world. Also, I'm a photographer (mainly wildlife and landscape one). I spent 5 years of studying ecological problems, and 9 months behind a computer to analyse how to develop the hydropower in Cameroun according to the environmental and social impact assessment. But now, I need to connect with the life, the people, the nature and the adventure :) Also, I have a project to create a farm or a community farm with sustainable ways of living, spiritual touches and rescued animals. I did one month of work away in Norway with animals work (horses, chicken, sheep, pigs..) and orchard works Finally, now, it's been more than one month that I am in a farm with rescued animals and buses turned into Airbnb so I learned to manage animals and high quality houses.Centres d’intérêt

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Eloïse : As a curious person, I am passionnante with arts and learning in general. I play piano since I'm 6, I also play Ukulele and sometimes I enjoy singing. Drawing helps me to concentrate, and I'm now learning to paint with watercolor. I watch a lot of movies and enjoy to discuss and analyse them. But one of my big passions is to cook, try new things and be creative.
Also, I need to move and do some sport everyday (and stretching/meditation sometimes :)). I enjoy going beyond myself and trying to find my physical limits. I live on the coast of Brittany, so I enjoy sailing or making any activity on the sea. Thanks to my studies and naturalism, I learnt many things about the marine ecosystems and this subject really animates me.
Finally, I love to speak English and would like to improve it. I'm also trying to study Spanish by myself and SLF, but today I'm just a beginner.
