Description

Elham:
My name is Elham, everyone calls me Elli. I am 39 and started my long trip in August 2021. I’m travelling since then without having a base, which means it is my lifestyle
And I’m a digital nomad for the last three years teaching English online.
I have been mainly travelling in Europe, Africa, and Asia. I met my girlfriend last year and we are traveling together since then .
I have more experiences in volunteering while travelling than shown on Workaway, I normally found my hosts personally old fashioned way :)
I’ve done volunteering in fields of : social work , education , farming, gastronomy and reception :)
Back home, i finished my master degree, I was a social worker , working with problematic teenagers (loved my job) , and in my free time I grew vegetables in my garden and did some drawing and painting and also hosting people (through couuchsurfing, if you know about that platform ) . I am a fast learner , high responsible , caring, respectful, adapt myself to new situations very well, nature-lover, friendly and love to help whenever I can. I am normally a happy person and love socialising with people.

Forough :
I (Forough, 29, from Netherlands) have received my bachelor’s degree in European Studies in Maastricht, the Netherlands. During my studies I have participated in an exchange program in Romania where I followed courses related to politics, human rights, and society and environment.
I have also participated in an internship program at Verite Research in Sri Lanka for a duration of five months.
I currently work as an online language teacher. My previous working experiences are working as a program coordinator at an asylum center in the Netherlands, working as a swim instructor for kids, and I also have experience as a waitress and sales associate.
My solo traveling experience started mainly during my studies when I traveled a lot through the Netherlands and the neighboring countries like Germany, Belgium, France, and Luxembourg. I also traveled a lot through Romania by making road trips and through Sri Lanka during my internship.
I have worked voluntarily as a swimming instructor for over 7 years, teaching children how to swim from the beginning.
I volunteered as a Dutch language teacher for almost two years, and as a young coach at “de Vrolijkheid” in the Netherlands.
I am also a volunteer at a global student association called “Iranian Scholars for Liberty” which is active in upholding human rights.
Finally, I’m a nature and animal lover, I love to read and write, am social and at the same time an introvert.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I worked many years with refugees and was interested in culture conflict , languages and identity after immigration. The last five years I worked as a social worker with problematic teenagers and helped them to start a new life. I learn from any person I meet in my life… from my teenagers I learned a lot as well.
Also middle experience in teaching, gardening, drawing, meditation, cooking, etc
