Hi! I'm Eliza from Germany :)
I set out on this trip to challenge myself and learn more about the world and people around me. I'm an independent, adventurous and open-minded person and there are few things that make me as happy as traveling does.
To tell you a bit more about myself: I love doing outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and hitchhiking. I enjoy connecting with the people I meet on the road and have met some of my best friends while traveling.
But while I love traveling on my own, I also enjoy other people's company and crave community. I enjoy communal living and sharing a space with people I feel comfortable with. That's where Workaway comes to the rescue since there's no better place to find a temporary home away from home!
I can already say that I'm excited to meet you, I'm sure we'll have a great time together!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I'm pretty talented when it comes to languages: I'm able to speak and write in English fluenty, I have good Turkish skills as well as basic French and Spanish skills. My mother tongue is German.
Secondly, music is a big part of my life: I've been playing the piano for 12 years, singing since I can remember and I'm currently teaching myself to play the guitar.
I'm a sociable person who always tries to make sure that the people around me feel comfortable and included! I think we should all be kinder to each other and focus on building strong relationships and communities!
My volunteering experiences so far:
🐶 Volunteered in a dog shelter in my German hometown for 2 years. There I did everything from administrative work, to cleaning the crates, walking the dogs and cuddling with them!
🏨 2-Week Workaway in a Hostel in Tbilisi. Tasks ranged from typical household chores like cleaning the rooms to socializing with guests and managing the reservations.
☕️ My favorite experience so far was volunteering at a language café in Isparta (Turkey). Every night young people gathered around the small apartment to drink Çay and speak English to each other! I was happy to share my stories and to learn from theirs :) Made many amazing friendships there, that will last for a lifetime.
