Hello!
I am Eleonora. I live and work in London, but in April 2024 I am taking a loooong break to travel and volunteer. I am going all the way from the UK to Japan mostly by train, a few buses and ferries.
This trip has been my dream for many years now, and I am so excited about all the beautiful places to explore and the wonderful people I'll meet. I think that travelling is the best way to fulfil your life and when I travel I always try to experience the place, people and culture of where I am.
Workaway will be the best opportunity for me to be part of the local culture, meet friendly and open-minded people and do little trips around Japan (and on my way there).
I am quite creative, I studied Animation at university and currently work as a Visual Effects artist. However I am really into art in general, I love all kinds of music, but I also enjoy movies, books and comics.
I love nature and animals, things that I have been missing in London, that's why I would love to do some gardening, take care of animals and just being surrounded by nature! I have been vegetarian for many years now.
There is also another long-term goal I'd like to achieve, as in a few years I have the dream to have my own self-sufficient farm and I want to learn now skills that I will need in the future.
I also have a basic knowledge of Japanese and would like to improve it.
*I don't have a driving license and would appreciate a bike or to be in a place accessible with public transport.

I have liked gardening since I was young, it really makes me happy.
I like DIY, crafting and building things. I love any sort of artistic stuff.
I can also cook.
Mainly I am always trying to learn new skills and like to work hard to achieve my goals, I hope I will learn lots of new things!

We have been doing many different activities, from gardening to DIY (painting and building showers for the campsite). We ate a lot of good food, mostly fresh from the garden. They are a big, special family, very chilled and fun. I felt like I found good friends. The… read more
She's kind and not afraid of neither working nor of making dirty her hands. She is very autonomous and independent. Everything interests her. She's an artist too. And kids loved her !
We had very fun moments together. Hope to meet her again and strongly recommend her.
