  • Description

    Hey there !
I'm Eitan, from France, and with my dog Loki I'm hitchhiking around the world, currently in Eastern Europe but planning to go across the Silk Road all the way to China ! My goal in that journey is to discover the world, to be able to apprehend different cultures and traditions with an open mind, and become a better, wiser person. Meeting people is one of the reason I volunteer, the other is to participate in meaningful projects, to use the skills that I have to bring some good into the world, especially for projects concerning ecology or social justice.

I'm an artist (mainly a musician but I also like to draw and write), and a thinker, I love talking about philosophy, politics, religion, any deep subject about how to make the world the better place.
But most of all I am a teacher, sharing everything I know is my deepest and most burning passion. I have been a piano and music teacher for a few years now, and I also used to teach dance. I'm also currently starting to teach french online. With my dog I learned a lot about dog training, which could be considered a form of teaching!

Obviously I love music, I recently bought a ukulele that I travel with, so I'm always ready to play and sing something! I also love martial arts, which I consider an art form especially due to its strong connection to tradition and philosophy. In fact, learning kungfu was my primary motivation to start traveling and go to China. I know, a bit cliché, but look where it got me!

I love animals, which is why I couldn't leave without my dog, and it's also the reason why I became vegetarian 8 years ago. I also like nature, mountains, hiking and camping, I love discovering the new landscapes of the countries I go to.

I love learning languages (and learning in general), I speak French, English and Italian fluently but I'm always happy to learn more (I picked up some greek while in Greece, some bulgarian in Bulgaria... you get the idea). If you're up for a language exchange that would be with great pleasure!

I'm eager to meet you and make some friends all over the world!

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Teaching and working with children : I've been doing it for a bit more than 2 years but I can honestly say it is like second nature to me, I love it and I'm always trying to learn more about how to communicate better, how to be a better teacher, by reading, exploring and experimenting diverse methods. I know I still have a lot to learn in that field and that's what makes me want to continue on this path

Animals: I've had a dog with me since I was 11-12, practiced horse riding for 10+ years, and I'm now an amateur dog trainer. That means I know how to handle a dog, a horse, and I'm comfortable around any animal since I've worked on a farm several times with goats (that I learned how to milk), horses, chickens etc

Cooking : Becoming a vegan forced me to learn how to cook so I'm pretty decent at it, although I've never cooked for a large amount of people.

Computer science : I've studied in an engineer school for a few years, I know my way around computer and have some basic programming skills.

Languages : I speak French (native), English and Italian (both fluent). I know a bit of German and I picked up some greek while in Greece, some bulgarian while in Bulgaria... You get the idea. I'm more than happy to teach French or even any language I'm fluent in!

Other : I can also do physical work as I've worked on a farm several times (cutting wood, cleaning barns, putting up fence but also milking goats, cheese-making).

For the rest, I'm usually a quick learner since I'm always enthusiastic to pick-up new skills.

  • Autres infos...

When I'm not discovering or exploring, I like to spend time reading, for fun or for learning new things, watching TV shows, or playing video games, board games, any kinds of game really. And play with my dog, teaching him new tricks.
