Hi there !
My name is Églantine, I am 19 years old and I am French.
I've decided to do a sabbatical year because I want to discover who I am outside of school and outside of my comfort zone, my family, my friends. I'm also a bit lost in terms of what I want to do with my life so traveling is, I think, the best way to understand better what I like and what is important to me.
I want to travel in Europe and I mostly want to meet new people, learn new cultures or habits.
My purpose is to be useful and offer my help as much as possible and in the meantime learn to know the people I work with and help and also have deep and meaningful conversations.
I already have experience with children as I did an internship of two weeks in a Nursery for babys and toddlers and I also did babysitting for older children. I love children and I love to be creative with them.
I also love to be with animals and take care of them. I worked in a farm for three weeks where I was in charge of sheep, chicken and donkeys. I don't have a lot of experience with horses but I would love to learn how to take care of them. I love dogs and cats, they are my best friends in a room where I don't know anyone ;)
And I would love to take care of animals that I don't know a lot or at all.
In the farm where I worked three weeks, I was also in charge of the gardening, especially vegetables. I've a bit of experience in taking care of sowing, planting, taking care of crops, watering, composting and taking care of the soil. I also worked for two weeks with a florist who grow her own flowers in a field.
I have lived on a boat for a month during which I traveled with other people from the Cyclades Island to the south of France. I love to travel by boat and especially on a sailing boat, being surrounded by the sea is my happy place.
As much as I love the sea, I also love the mountains, the rivers and nature in general.
I'm quite handy and I've always learned to use my hands. I was in a Steiner Waldorf School and since I was a child I learned to knit, sew, crochet, work with wood or clay, paint, draw and all sorts of thing like that.
I love to craft and DIY, I always write poems or little story, I do a lot of watercolours, I like to take photos and I have an argentic camera. I love to walk in nature, and to hike. Another of my many hobbies is to sing and an other is to dance in the crowd.
I am a happy and positive person, I am motivated and not lazy. I am reliable and always on time or even early. I love to work hard, espiaclly if it is with my hands and I like a job well done, I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I am independent and if you give me clear instructions on what I need to do. I enjoy spending time with people and also like to spend time on my own.
I would love to visit the surrounding area of where we would be and to learn about the history of the place. I would also love to accompany you in your daily life or special events.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I've taken sewing lessons, gardening lessons, singing, painting and drawing lessons. I've helped build a house, I've lived on a boat for a month, I know how to knit and how to build stuff from scratch. I've worked with kids and toddlers. I am resourceful and I learn fast.
