Hello!

We're two friends from France seeking adventure in Scotland. We're both 25 and we decided to take a gap year to visit one of our dream countries, Scotland. We began our trip in October 2023 and we worked in two different places during that time. We are now looking for new projects for the next months. We want to discover new landscapes, meet new people, and learn new skills!

Therefore we are looking for hosts who propose at least a month's stay. We are interested in working on animal welfare and sustainable projects or on farms to improve our skills in marinating but also working in hostels for example to help people in their journey. We want to help where it is needed! We already volunteered on a construction site and in a seal hospital.

Let's present us more specifically.

I'm Edouard, I love nature, mountains, and the sea, I love sports like hiking or sailing. I grew up across the sea and the mountain in France when I was young. I have always lived in France, I only travel a little for vacancies. For the last few years, I have studied marine engineering competencies in school, I work now in this area.

I want to discover Scotland during my trip, all the beautiful landscapes, and I want to meet people, speak and improve my English, and more importantly, I want to invest myself in a community as a volunteer.


My name is Arthur, and I grew up in Brittany, France. Scotland has always been a dream destination for me. I have a deep passion for nature and mountains, and I'm impatient to discover the breathtaking landscapes I've seen on Google Images. Moreover, I always wanted to take a gap year. I want to travel, immerse myself in a new country, connect with its people, and gain a deeper understanding of its culture.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We're both involved in different scouting organizations, and we worked as camp counselors, taking care of children during summer camps. We have experience living in a close-knit community, and we have a deep appreciation for nature.

We already volunteered for other projects and we learned lots of construction stuff and about animal care.

Also, we've been working as engineers for two years now. Edouard specializes in modeling and predicting hydraulic issues related to rivers and coastal areas. Meanwhile, Arthur is involved in computing wooden structures to assist carpenters in accurately sizing frameworks.
