Hi there! I’m Duncan, a 23-year-old from Los Angeles, California, currently working in Southern Texas as an outdoor guide/educator. I’m looking for an opportunity to travel the world and experience new lifestyles. I am a hard worker who enjoys trying new things and going outside of my comfort zone, especially in the outdoors. I am very open-minded/respectful and able to get along with all types of people. There is nothing I love more than connecting with others and sharing experiences with new people. I work as an instructor with Outward Bound, where I take students on backpacking and canoeing expeditions with the goal of teaching them life skills such as communication, confidence, and love of nature.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Duncan:

In college I studied ecology, evolution, and anthropology, so I am well versed in human and animal behavior and biology.

My experiences as an Outward Bound instructor have given me a great deal of outdoor skills and knowledge. I am most comfortable when I’m outside surrounded by nature. These trips have also allowed me to spend lots of time working with teenage kids helping them grow and learn to push themselves.

I spent much of the past Summer caring for off-duty sled dogs, and I also grew up around many dogs and cats which I helped to take care of and train. As such, I am very comfortable around animals of all types and take great pleasure in taking care of them.

Most of all, I enjoy working hard and spending time outdoors expanding my comfort zone. I can handle plenty of physical work and never shy away from a challenge.

Most importantly, I work hard and am easy to get along with. I will treat any host with respect, patience, and understanding, and ask only that you do the same for me.

I LOVE dogs, cats, and basically all animals.

I also love being active and playing sports. At university, I was captain of my school's ultimate frisbee team. Besides that, I also enjoy hiking, camping, and reading.
