Hi everyone,

I’m Désirée and currently traveling around Canada. After working for five years in the finance department of a food company, I decided it was time to take a break and explore more of the world.

I visited the west coast of Canada twice as a child, and it always stayed with me as such a beautiful place. I knew back then that I wanted to come back one day – and now it finally worked out, which makes me incredibly happy!

I’ve always loved traveling. In the past, I spent a year in England as an au pair and also had the chance to study abroad in China. Now I’m excited once again to experience new cultures, meet interesting people, and broaden my horizons.

When I’m not traveling, you’ll usually find me with my nose in a book (currently into fantasy and science fiction) or in the kitchen baking some of my favorite treats. Right now, I’m especially into peanut butter cookies – so good!

I’d describe myself as a positive, reliable, and caring person who loves trying new things. I’m really hoping this platform will bring lots of great experiences.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Fluent in English; native German speaker
- Basic French (learned in school, currently a bit rusty but motivated to improve)
- Experience with painting and basic home improvement (painted my own room and apartment) so I do enjoy DIY projects, decorating, and creating cozy, welcoming spaces
- Passionate about cooking and baking especially Italien food or trying out new Jamie Oliver recipes
- Obviously, happy to help with meal prep, cooking, baking, and kitchen organization
- Animal lover with long-term experience caring for pets (I’ve had my cat for 16 years)
- Enjoy helping with small events like birthday parties (decorating, organizing, preparing snacks and food)
- Friendly, reliable, and caring personality
- Open-minded and always happy to learn new skills and help where needed

Love playing a nice game of Siedler of Catan. It’s our family‘s favorite.
At the moment trying to further broaden my knowledge on the stock market, so happy for any good recommendations for finance podcasts.
