Hi, I’m Dana, and I’m 34 years old. I’m heading to Sweden in August. I’d like to spend about a year exploring the beautiful nature of Scandinavia. The focus of my trip is Sweden, but I’m also looking forward to shorter trips to Norway and/or Finland. In addition to the beautiful nature, I’m especially looking forward to meeting wonderful people and sharing stories. I’ll arrive in Luleå by train in mid-August and will spend the first few months traveling through Lapland from there.

On the one hand I am very close to nature and enjoy the peace and quiet, but I also like to surround myself with my loved ones. I love my family and friends. I am honest, reliable, patient and optimistic. I currently spend my free time learning to play the guitar, learning Swedish, dancing and playing beach volleyball.

I have been attending a Swedish course for several months and already understand quite a bit. However, I still find it very difficult to speak spontaneously. I would really like to improve my Swedish. I'd be happy to teach you German. When I was 17, I spent half a year in the US. That's why I still feel pretty confident speaking English.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an occupational therapist and have spent most of my career working with adults with disabilities. I also have some experience working with children.

I have completed training in occupational therapy work with horses. Even though I haven't been actively riding for several years, I have a lot of experience with horses. I really enjoy working with animals. My family used to have a Samoyed. Dogs have been an important part of my life ever since.

Unfortunately, I am not a passionate cook, but I am quite capable of cooking with a recipe :) However, I really enjoy cooking with others.

I am talented at organization. I am also always interested in learning something new when it comes to crafts etc.
