Just got back from Canada after travelling/ volunteering for a year and a half! Would love to meet travellers to show my home country to:)

Description

Hi! I’m Daisy and 24 years old.
I've been in Canada for 1 year now. I have worked on a pension/resque ranch near Kamloops for 4 months during the summer, where I and the other volunteers took care 46 horses in total! The work included giving medicine, cleaning the occasional wounds, feeding, mucking out the paddocks, moving small hay bales, exercising the horses and giving them lot's of love of course!

Then for 4 months I stayed with a host that is a chef, I learned lot's from her. I did some outdoor work in the fall, like get their vegetable garden ready for the winter, turning the beds over. Split (with a machine) and stack wood. And some other odd jobs around the property. During the weekend, guests would come for booked dinners, I would bake dessert and prepare one or two dishes. During the dinner I would serve the guests. I also baked lot's of cookies and other treats for a Christmas market that we went to. Helped out with her cooking classes and lot's more!

For my third workaway I volunteered at a cat and dog boarding facility for two months. I excersised the dogs and did their feeding. Cleaning litterboxes and also had to give medicine a few times to one of the cats. The host also had alpacas and llamas I would feed them and clean their stall. I got to know one of the alpacas really well because she got ill during my stay, I gave her medicine and cleaned wounds on her legs. An unfortunate situation but very interesting to learn more about these amazing animals!

Before I started travelling I was working fulltime as a creative at a social media agency in Amsterdam, where I did lot's of video and photo editing as well as shooting the content on camera. I love to try new art forms, my current favourite is crocheting but I'm also learning how to knit!

I can’t wait to see more of this beautiful country and I’d love to find a place where I can express my interest✨🌼

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

1. I Have had experience with animals my whole life, currently 16 years of experience with horses.

2. I would say I’m a pretty good cook and baker!

3. I have a B1 certificate in English that I received in high school. My English has only improved since then.

4. And on a whole different note. For my previous job I was working as a creative at a social media agency where I created the content for our clients, that includes photography, photo/video editing, motion design and graphic design (I also have experience with graphic fashion design).
