Hello!

My name is Cydnee Sparrow and I am a professional ceramic artist and arts/culture worker living in Halifax (Kijpuktuk), Canada. Alongside my career as an artist I have been working as a Gallery Technician for a variety of galleries across the country.

Being in nature brings me great joy, so I feel very fortunate to live by the ocean, although I grew up in Western Canada which is a place surrounded by grasslands and some mountains.

I have been fortunate enough to spend my early 20s wwoofing doing workaways, which has really shaped my relationship to travel and experiencing, new communities and places. In 2016 I spend four months wwoofing Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. I have also had the chance to do some workaways in my home country of Canada!

I am a curious person that always loves to learn new skills, work with my hands and meet new people.

When I am not making or teaching art professionally, I love listening to music, cooking, playing board games, reading, dancing and a great cup of coffee.

Currently learning the banjo and working on my break dance skills!

I am interested in learning a language! I have started learning Spanish and German in the past and have always been interested in picking them up again. However, I am very open to all language and would be happy for any amount of exchange. I have been an english speaker my whole life so if there is ever an interest I would be happy to teach.

I LOVE learning new card games and I am always happy to teach and play the ones I know with people. Also love playing music and making art with people.
