Hello!!

My name is Imogen! I'm 22 years old and my home is Cornwall, England!

I'm a very calm and creative individual seeking to find growth through relationships and experiences!
I want to use this opportunity to soak in knowledge and learning. I want to get to know your culture, language, your ways of life. I want to learn about the things that make you passionate. I hope that I can make an impactful contribution to your workaway!

I love to get stuck into learning new skills, I work hard and I'm very keen to pursue things outside of my comfort zone. So whatever you need done I'm willing to get my hands dirty and try if you're willing to have the patience to teach me! I'm somebody who prioritises relationships and communication. I think it's very important that we can be honest and open with one another so that both our needs are met! I love to invest in relationships, I want to know people, to have connections, and to hear people's stories! to me, that is how I believe the world should be seen! in companionship : ) I'm somebody who loves to be in the company of others but I also find great joy and contentment by myself. I'm very easygoing and will happily slot into your daily rhythms of life. I'm ideally looking for longer stays. The way I like to travel is to stay somewhere for a longer amount of time so I can get to know you or your family and invest time into your project but I will happily stay for as long or little as is comfortable for you and your home.

I hope that my presence will bring a creative energy as someone who is an artist. I love pottery, painting, and sculpture work and I'd love to share that with you and learn any of your creative practices. I love to work with wood and have a real interest in carpentry and would love to learn more about it! I love being outside so I'd love to learn from people who farm and live off the land. I want to learn about permaculture and ecosystems. I really want to experience an alternative way of living to the one I've grown up in. I also love working with kids and have done for many years! I think they bring such joy and liveliness!! I have experience working in a nursery and school for children with learning disabilities. As well as working with kids who have physical disabilities. I'm forever learning in the company of kids and I think they see the world in such a different and beautiful way to us. They have so much to teach us so I'd love to get to know some families and give any parent looking for a break some help with the difficulties and joys that come with being a parent.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am so eager to learn and to develop in new skills! I'd love to learn about permaculture and farming, carpentry, building, living off the land, making new dishes, learning new languages and seeing other ways of living. I'd love to learn anything you're willing to teach me. Here are some skills I can offer in return:


Child care
. I have worked in a nursery
. Worked with children who have a learning disability and behavioural issues
. Taught in schools with a charity for a few weeks
. worked with children who have disabilities

Elderly care
. Worked in a care home during the first pandemic

work with vulnerable adults
. volunteered for many years at a club for adults who have a learning disability

Gardening
. Worked as a gardener, so can do basic gardening and general maintenance. I enjoy jobs that require some manual labour. I'd love to develop more in these skills and would love to do some farm work.

Creative projects
. I'm an artist! I love to paint, sculpt and do pottery. I'd love to offer creative skills if you ever wish to learn or if you'd like to join in the joys of making!!
. My sculptures are made out of wood so I know my way around a chisel, but i'd absolutely love to know how to do carpentry!! so if anyone is willing to teach me I'd love that!
