Hey !

We are Carla and Clement, a couple of two french people who are 27 and 29 years old. After a few years working in environment and water quality, we decided to take a sabbatical year to travel around Southeast Asia and New Zealand.

We are open-minded people, really curious, who love discovering new people, cultures and landscapes. Our favourite thing to do is to spend time in nature, while observing animals and plants or doing outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, climbing or kayaking. We are also used to live in community as we spent the last 6 years living in several shared flats.

Our main goal by joining the Workaway community is to meet local people to share and understand more about the culture. We're also really keen to get involved in your project and learn new skills with you (we are quick learners). Finally, we'd also like to find a place where we could feel a bit at home for a few days or a few weeks.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Clement
- Studied in the water treatment field (regulations, analyses, hydraulics and water treatment plant sizing).
- During my work I developed different manual skills like repairing pipes, pumps and I also did installations of new equipment.
- I grew up in the countryside with dogs and chikens. My parents and I love gardening, we use to grow tomatoes, salad, eggplant, carrots, beans, zucchini...
We also cut wood for heating.
- During my free time I like to ride my bike, climb, hike in mountains. I also like photography (I took my camera for the travel), if you're curious, you can check my ig : @clementdsv
- Last thing, with my friends, we created a music association and each year, we organize a music festival in the french mountains to bring the locals together and celebrate with music. To organize the event, we had to make request to the town hall, build a stage for the artists and a bar where we served drinks.

Carla
- I studied environmental and water engineering. I'm used to field and lab work (water sampling, plants sampling, water analysis)
- I'm really close to my family and my spanish grandparents who taught me how to garden and cook good vegetables and obviously, how to speak spanish
- I'm also really interested in food culture, I love cooking and learning new recipes from others
- I have several experiences in bar service in an associative context
- I love to be around animals and I would like to learn more about animal care
-I know how to sew and to draw a lil bit
- Finally, I'm someone dynamic but I also know when it's time to relax :)
