Description
We are a couple from New Zealand traveling the world before we move to the United Kingdom, and call London home for a few years!
Down to earth, sociable and hard-working we will finish travelling in July and are looking for house or pet sitting opportunities in London from late July onwards.
We love the outdoors (especially being by the sea), keeping fit, our friends & family, good food and good wine! We have a 3-year-old Labradoodle, Dave. He will join us in London once we settle in.
I am a lawyer and specialise in construction, infrastructure and renewable energy law. I have been working in private practice for the past 6 years and will be looking for a job in law when we get to London.
Mike is a carpenter and has owned/ run his own residential building company in NZ for the past 10 years.

MIKE – 34, Registered builder
For the past 10 years I have run my own residential construction business in New Zealand. In early 2023, I decided it was time for a change and sold the company! I still hold my licenses to build and manage projects.
Prior to this I was an outdoor education teacher and worked with children between 10 – 18 years old. I also have some experience on farms and am comfortable working with animals.

I am generally able to help out with most things (e.g. gardening, painting, cleaning, cooking) and willing to get stuck into everything. Mike (my partner, who is a carpenter) and I recently renovated a house in New Zealand so I am also a good apprentice and learnt a lot from that experience!
During my study I worked as an au piar for a family in Auckland. I was in this role for nearly 6 years and really enjoy spending time with and looking after children.
I also have some experience on farms and am comfortable working with animals.
