13 years ago, I started my adventures by travelling to Australia to do my PhD at Sydney University. I moved to Melbourne afterwards and settled there.

Fast forward 5 years and here I am many kilometres away from the upside-down for my biggest post-covid adventure. I have no return ticket home and exploring eastern and southern Europe and northern Africa at the moment.

Recently, I got my CELTA qualification and started teaching ESL English online mostly to young learners. I also worked with Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) in Mlebourne, Australia as a volonteer English tutor for a year. Back then, my students were mostly stay-at-home moms and the elderly.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

CELTA from Cambridge is my most recent qualification. I took the course in Cairo while travelling, and it was as rewarding an experience as it possibly can get after getting a degree in Geology/geophysics. I also studied Horticulture (not finished due to covid) for a year, and I had my own vegetable garden for many years so I can help you with gardening, pruning, propagating, pest management etc. I also worked as a foster carer for cats and kittens, and I am very good at taking care of sick animals. I volunteered in a community bike shop and have some skills in fixing and upcycling bicycles. I know how to use the common power tools. I am a good photographer and love painting murals and doing macrame (see the photos).

I have worked in retail specialising in camping and hiking gear. I volunteered in community legal centres working with refugees and asylum seekers helping them get into TAFes and educational centres. In my current job, I work in the union movement trying to help workers with their wages and conditions.

I am fit, and healthy and love being outdoors and working with people, animals, plants and tools as well as doing cooking and household chores.

I played D&D for many years and I loved it. I love riding bikes. My daily record is 110km. Cranes are my spirit animals. I love them.
