Greetings Workaway Host!
I have travelled much in my life (due to my line of work) and getting to know different people, cultures and customs has always been my top delight. I am especially drawn to the art and architecture of new (and old!) locations and am a frequent museum visitor wherever I go. Books, the performing arts, and of course hikes and time spent in Nature round off my most favorite things to do. But above all, it is sharing time, ideas and experiences with people that inspires me the most.
I'm originally from New York City (I also have an EU (Irish) passport) where I had a company importing antiques from many parts of the world. I recently moved from Mexico where I worked in design for over 12 years and came back to Spain where I had lived for a decade after attending the University in Madrid.
I am currently traveling throughout Spain, wishing to relocate here once again. (Especially as my son has moved to Berlin.) I thought Workaway stays would be an interesting approach to exploring the country more and getting to know different Workaway hosts and their projects which I'm eager to take an active part in. I'm of retirement age but still with the energy, good health and spirit of adventure that I have always enjoyed. I'm an open, fun loving (but hard working) and caring person with a good sense of humor. To that I could add easy going and adaptable but perhaps most important of all is a genuine curiosity for experiences that enrich my life and the life of others.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My entire career has been dedicated to antiques, art and design. (Alongside raising 2 sons.) I have been a dealer in all 3 categories (Madrid, New York City and Mexico City) and have collaborated on many furniture design and interior projects.
That aside, I've been told that I am a good communicator, a diplomatic manager, fun loving and very easy going. I am very much a people-person and inherited a great sense of humor from my father.
I do like challenges and am adaptable to any situation. (Well maybe not the Antarctic! :)
Urban or rural, I am happy in both environments whether they be with children, animals, plants or all of the above!
