I’m in Turkey and have found 2 hosts so I am not looking for any other hosts right now :)
Description
I am currently in Turkey and I would love to offer my services in a community somewhere rural before I have to be back in the UK around July 20th. It could be anywhere really but I think it will be somewhere in Turkey, Bulgaria or Romania.
My most recent training is Sound Therapist and so when at home, I love to interact with gongs, Himalayan bowls and other pure sound tools, and to share these healing vibrations. I love connecting with people via song and instruments. To add a campfire is a bonus! So amongst other work of farm work, natural building, cooking, cleaning or the like, I would love to share these beautiful tools with the group. I am a natural connector and my trips around the world to different countries have definitely helped with my practice of acceptance of different ways of being. I love to walk and be close to nature so even in big cities you’ll find me hopping from park to park to feel the grass beneath my feet and most likely singing!
I love animals and had one cat for 21 years! Being amongst all the cats in Istanbul this year was a treat.
I like to express my creativity in different ways including writing, singing, cooking and dance.
I practice Transcendental Meditation twice daily which has been a part of my life for 24 years. I also like to practice yoga asanas and am always drawn to other forms of yoga practice like Qi gong and aikido which I think I will soon learn.
I have consciously made self development work a main focus for the last several years and feel grateful for the awareness of how I create my experiences and joy for living.
I have a vegetarian diet and an Ayurvedic interest.Centres d’intérêt

Since April I spent over a week in Romania and over a month in Turkey. Whilst in Romania I practiced learning on Duolingo every day. Whilst here in Turkey I practice everyday on Duolingo and with the people I meet. I am keen to learn more languages when I have a motivation, for example because I’m visiting that country or I connect well with someone. I am always happy to help teach any language I know well. I would include for this English, French since I was brought up bilingual. I was born in Montreal, Canada to a French Canadian father and Welsh mother. I speak English with my mother and French with my father. I learnt Spanish in school continued in university 20 years ago.I picked up Italian in university and got high grades though I don’t practice this as regularly.Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have acquired a range of skills and abilities through life and different jobs. I studied languages at university level so as well as being able to speak different languages, I practice patience and a willingness to understand.
I also have a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Whilst working as a dietitian, I had my own clinics, seeing patients on a one to one basis in clinic as well as in their own home. This required many skills such as listening, compassion, reflection, space holding, patience, negotiation and kindness. It also really helped me develop a non judgmental attitude which helped people feel they can trust me and open up to me in order to collaborate.
In many employments such as Cafe Supervisor, Retail coordinator and festival work, I had to demonstrate a lot of multi tasking, delegating, teamwork, prioritising then monitoring to reprioritise.
In New Zealand I worked in a holiday park cleaning motel apartments and as a receptionist at a popular and well known holiday park in Fox Glacier, a tourist region. As well as this professional level of cleaning for hotels, I have worked many hospitality jobs where I had to maintain a high standard of cleanliness as well as enjoying to keep my own spaces clean and organised.
I have done pet sitting for cats and dogs.
I also have some basic wood cutting skills since working at Bristol Wood Recycling Project. I can use a chop saw, rail saw, jigsaw and sander. At this workplace, we worked closely with volunteers that we welcomed from the community with different capabilities, backgrounds and nationalities. During my Erasmus year, I lived in Italy and Spain sharing a home space with people from different countries. So I have experience of living and working harmoniously with different cultures and customs.
I am self motivated and quick to learn. I also love to learn new skills and am keen to learn more about organic farming and natural building.Âge

Autres infos...
I don’t do it often but when I do, I can really enjoy playing board games. I haven’t had a television in about 8 years and generally don’t watch many films but sometimes I enjoy it. I also enjoy card games and jamming with others around a fire or simply under the stars. I prefer quiet coves to swim in the sea or a natural lake rather than a popular beach.
I have run a half marathon and these days although I usually walk or ride a bike, I sometimes like to do trail running.
I am currently travelling with my shruti box from India as well as some Himalayan bowls and a few kochi chimes so I am able to give personal or group sound treatments as well as using just the shruti to engage people to sing or just enjoy the relaxing sounds.
I am integrating more and more sustainable ways of living and my plan is to create a long term natural, holistic therapy community, living in an eco friendly way.Informations complémentaires
