Hello! I'm Carles (28) from Spain. I'm an open-minded guy really interested in learning how people from different cultures live their lives; that's why I'm studying Sociology.
For a living, I work as Mechanical Engineer.

I love hiking, kayaking, camping and just exploring nature. I love animals too. I'm keen to learn about self-sufficiency, ecological agriculture and eco-building. I'm also interested in history and politics.

I lived in Ireland for a year.

I have volunteered in Norway and Russia, doing acitivities such as carpentry, harvesting, composting, animal care, eco-building, childcare, etc.

I love them all :) I spent 3 weeks at Dennis and Ellen's place. I felt welcomed from the first moment. My tasks were carpentry, plumbing and taking care of kids sometimes. The house is cozy and warm, and the food is really really good. I discovered many flavours and Dennis smoothies are magical.

I had a great stay at Sanne & Erik's place. I spent there a couple of weeks in autumm and really enjoyed it. The work was mainly stacking firewood, but also cleaning the forest, cleaning kennels and training the dogs. I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. A few hours of work in the morning and tasks are easy (mainly at the kitchen).
The accomodation is confortable and the atmosphere is warm. I met a lot of people. Special mention to all adimnistration team. And it was great to volunteer with Lena and to discover the city together.

Uni and Torgeir are great hosts! I spent 3 weeks in their farm, helping around the garden, sheep fencing, carpentering and many more things. It is located in a lovely area, surrounded by mountains, forest, a river and a lake. Carles was curious, kind, open, and especially wonderful with Kai, our thirteen year old. They became fast friends, playing soccer, biking, swimming in the lake, laughing and joking around.
