Salut ! Hey there! I'm currently living and working in France, right next to Paris, and I'm looking for travel buddies to hang out, specially on weekends ! Sometimes I'm able to travel around too!

Description

I'm in love with people and that's the main reason I'm willing to travel around using Workaway.
For years now, I've been planning on getting out of my comfort zone doing what I cherish the most: learning along the way.

A little bit about me:

- I grew up in Brazil and my mother tongue is Portuguese. I absolutely love the brazilian people and I'd like to bring our liveliness into everyday situations;

- I believe food gathers people, and so I'm willing to try as many typical foods as possible and I'll absolutely cook for people too !

- I graduated in Textile Engineering and Fashion Design, and while I didn't enjoy this domain of study, the university provided an excellent environment where I could become more sociable and independent;

- I'm always looking for volunteering work of all types, where I can meet new people and learn a new skill.

Learning languages is one of my biggest hobbies ! I'm currently a french teacher. I began learning french during the pandemic and began teaching begginers in 2021. I can also teach English and Portuguese. I'm focusing on developing my french, but I'm open to learn new languages too !

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience with...

... child care. I'm currently working as an aupair in France, and I've been a volunteer in a childcare for 6 months in Brazil, where I worked with multiple kids at a time, from ages 1 to 6;

... cooking, specially desserts. I hope to go to a cuisine school in the near future, but for now, I spent a month in a pâtisserie course, so I know the basics (and the not-so-basic) of baking/preparing desserts;

... customer service. I was an intern at the Walt Disney World Parks in Orlando for 2 months. I talked to clients, handled the cashier, worked at the stock, etc.
I also participated in an Immigrant Festival in Brazil, alongside with the lithuanian community in São Paulo. For this event, we gather a week before to cook the traditional food we serve at the festival;

... writing and social media. For years now, I manage my own Instagram account, which I'm currently transforming into a travel blog. I also had a blog in 2015, telling about my experience as an English student in the UK. During my college years, I wrote several articles about fashion, which led to my final assignment, about costuming in musical theater.
I dont have any professional work, but I'm interested in writing, photography and videography.

- I love dancing, and I was part of a traditional lithuanian dance group for a year :D

- I also love doing sports, and meeting people that want to do sports together;

- Going out to some historical/cultural place and finishing the day in a pub or bar is my thing;

- I'm always down to meet new and energetic people!
