Hello!

Our names are Brie and Lexie. We have recently moved over to London from Australia and are planning to travel throughout Europe this year, working when we can. Brie worked as a Registered Nurse back home for 2 years and Lexie is in her final year of university studying Marketing and Fashion.

We have joined Workaway as we are keen to immerse ourselves into a families home and their daily activities! We have a huge passion for food, cooking, being outdoors, exploring new places, meeting new people, getting our hands dirty and having fun. We would love to experience a farm stay where they are self-sufficient and learn more about organic farming and agriculture. We of course, are also interested in improving our language skills!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Brie:
My family has a hobby farm so I have spent many hours doing gardening, clearing, assisted with fencing, and have experience with farm and household animals (I love animals). There are always things to be done around the Farm so my hands are always busy. I also love to enjoy the serenity of our aqua-coloured river, drink or cuppa in hand and spot the Platypus! Whilst studying I worked in hospitality and babysitting, so am comfortable serving drinks and food and caring for children if required. Working as Registered Nurse has not only allowed me to meet so many people from different walks of life but has advanced my skill set (time management, fast learner, organised, patience). My first language is English, am happy to help people learn and also learn a new language!

We are very active people, have go-get attitudes and interested in all work available outside and inside the home!

Lexie:
Hi! I am Lexie, a 22 year old female who has moved over from Australia this year to immerse myself in new experiences and cultures. Aside from my current studies in marketing, I have worked in hospitaility so have experience in serving, food preparation and washing up. Although I have never worked on a farm before I am eager to learn as many new skills as possible in our time together! I am not afraid to get dirty and give anything a go. I am very interested in developing new skills whilst building new quality relationships. I am most looking forward to enjoying meals together with the hosts where we can share stories from our home countries. I am adventurous, outgoing, positive and most importantly, reliable, diligent and hardworking.
