May 2026 - do you need help? Preferably Southern Europe - Horses, animals, reception work etc... 1-4 weeks.

Hi!

My name is Bitten, I am 54 years old and come from Denmark. I have worked for more than 15 years as a venue and cultural house manager in the music industry. My professional background includes leadership, project coordination, event planning, communication, fundraising and volunteer management. I am structured, responsible and used to taking initiative – but I also enjoy being part of a team and contributing where needed.

I am the mother of two grown-up daughters. In my free time I ride horses – I have two Icelandic horses – and I love being outdoors. Nature, animals, long walks, good conversations, shared dinners and a good laugh are important parts of my life.

I speak Danish, English, German and Italian fluently, and I understand a little French and Russian.

I already have two wonderful Workaway experiences:
In 2020 my youngest daughter and I stayed for one month at a horse farm/hotel in South Africa, and in 2023 my oldest daughter and I did a Workaway at a horse farm in Tuscany. Both experiences were fantastic and confirmed for me how meaningful Workaway can be – a beautiful way to meet new people, learn new skills and step out of everyday routines.

What I can offer:

• Animal care (especially horses, but also other animals)
• General organisation and creating structure

I am positive, easygoing and adaptable. I work independently, see what needs to be done and take responsibility. At the same time, I value community and enjoy contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I am especially drawn to places with animals, beautiful landscapes and meaningful social interaction – but I am open to many kinds of projects where I can contribute with both practical hands and professional experience.
