I joined Workaway because I've found that the best part of travelling isn't sightseeing—it's meeting local people and getting involved in everyday life. Those experiences have been far more memorable than anything I'd find in a guidebook.

Over the past year, I've completed five volunteer exchanges through Worldpackers. Every place has been different, which is exactly what I've enjoyed. Whether I was helping on an organic farm in Turkey or working on writing projects in Wales, I've learned something new from every experience.

I'm easy-going, adaptable, and happy to help wherever I'm needed. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, learning new skills, or taking on jobs I've never done before. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and doing my part to make a project run smoothly.

Outside of volunteering, I'm studying Economics and Development through the University of London. In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking, history, technology, and exploring places that most tourists never get to see.

For me, travelling is about sharing meals, hearing people's stories, and experiencing life from a different perspective. I always hope to leave a place having made a positive contribution—and with a few good memories and friendships along the way.

One of my favourite parts of travelling is meeting people from different countries and learning how language connects cultures. I'm always interested in language exchange and enjoy conversations with people from different backgrounds. I speak English and Urdu and would be happy to help anyone looking to practise their English in an informal and relaxed way. At the same time, I enjoy learning words, expressions, and cultural insights from the places I visit. For me, language learning is less about textbooks and more about connecting with people and understanding different perspectives.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My experience is mainly in communication, research, writing, administration, and community-based projects. Over the past year, I've completed five volunteer exchanges through Worldpackers, working in a range of different environments and learning how to adapt quickly to new teams and projects.

I'm currently volunteering in Wales, where I help an AI-focused project with grant writing and fundraising. I enjoy writing, research, project support, and helping organisations communicate their ideas and goals effectively.

I'm also comfortable with reception work, guest interaction, administration, organising information, and supporting the day-to-day running of projects. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and have always found cultural exchange to be one of the most rewarding parts of travelling.

I have experience working independently, taking initiative, and learning new systems quickly. Whether it's helping with community projects, language exchange activities, educational initiatives, fundraising, or administrative tasks, I'm always happy to contribute wherever my skills can be useful.

Above all, I try to be reliable, easy to work with, and willing to learn.

When I'm not volunteering or travelling, you'll usually find me reading, exploring a new town on foot, listening to music, or going down a rabbit hole learning about something completely random. I enjoy history, technology, economics, and discovering how different cultures see the world.

I also enjoy walking, fitness, photography, and finding local cafés, bookshops, and places that don't usually appear in travel guides. One of my favourite parts of travelling is hearing people's stories and learning from experiences that are completely different from my own.

I'm always happy to share a meal, have a good conversation, explore somewhere new, or help with a project that brings people together.
