Description
We are a couple from England in our late 20s taking a career break from healthcare and charity work to explore the world, meet new friends and reconnect with old ones. We're looking forward to experiencing new places and cultures!
We are a sociable and adaptable couple with a wide range of experiences, who enjoy working with people and in roles which improve our communities.
Matt: I am a paramedic who has been serving underprivileged communities with an NHS ambulance service for nearly 5 years, alongside a voluntary role in Search & Rescue. Having started a career in computer science before leaving to retrain, I have both medical and technical skills to leverage where I can. I enjoy keeping myself fit in the gym and through outdoor activities such as hiking and climbing and don't shy away from physical work! I'm looking forward to using my skills to help out in new and interesting environments.
Becca: I graduated with a Psychology degree in 2017 and since then, I have worked in jobs aligned with my values, including as a caseworker for refugees, as a mental health support worker, and for a charity helping disadvantaged young people to get to university. I have always enjoyed learning about other cultures and religions and very much consider myself a 'people person. Outside of work, I love music, singing, the gym and am also getting into yoga and mindfulness. I'm really excited to see new parts of the world and make a meaningful contribution whilst also learning skills and knowledge from others.

We are both find learning new languages interesting and are keen to learn wherever we can. We have been planning a trip to Japan for some time and so have been trying to learn some of the language, although it's definitely been a challenge! Becca studied French and Spanish at school and has recently decided to pick it up again.
