Hello there :)

Super excited to be finally writing this! I have been longing to go travel and see the world for so long, and now the time has come. Still debating and coming to peace with my privilege, still debating action and decision and trying to allow myself to discover, fail and seek for my passion or destiny or mission.

My name is Bia. I always thought I was an extrovert, but recently I have been thinking of myself more like a shy person. And even though they are not opposites, they correlate in my head. This led me to think that change is permanent and that I have been living in the same city for the last three years. Time to praise and allow change to present itself again!

I have done many things over the last years, always never enough, but I am proud of my journey and I also sometimes can't believe how crazy lucky I am. I have been working with children since I was 18 years old, I have worked in customer service, as a waitress, and at a time I was feeling a bit lost I got the opportunity to get involved in the education world, which is something that I have always wanted to do. I have worked in two very different schools, both intense and humbling experiences.

I am fascinated about growing and changing, and working with kids is a great way to reflect on it.

Also, I love collage and drawing. I love art gatherings and residencies, and all my friends are amazing artists with whom I shared so many heart warming creation processes.

I am trying to find a way to be vulnerable and resilient at the same time. I have a lot to share and a lot to learn, and I can't wait to be there.

Estoy súper emocionada de finalmente estar escribiendo esto. He estado deseando viajar y ver el mundo durante tanto tiempo, y ahora ha llegado el momento. Todavía debatiendo y haciendo las paces con mi privilegio, aún debatiendo la acción y la decisión, y tratando de permitirme descubrir, fallar y buscar mi pasión, destino o misión.

Me llamo Bia. Siempre pensé que era extrovertida, pero recientemente he estado pensando en mí misma más como una persona tímida. Y aunque no son opuestos, en mi cabeza están relacionados. Esto me llevó a pensar que el cambio es permanente y que he estado viviendo en la misma ciudad durante los últimos tres años. ¡Es hora de alabar y permitir que el cambio se presente de nuevo!

He hecho muchas cosas en los últimos años, nunca es suficiente, pero estoy orgullosa de mi viaje y, a veces, tampoco puedo creer lo increíblemente afortunada que soy. He estado trabajando con niños desde que tenía 18 años, he trabajado en servicio al cliente, como camarera, y en un momento en que me sentía un poco perdida, tuve la oportunidad de involucrarme en el mundo de la educación, algo que siempre he querido hacer. He trabajado en dos escuelas muy diferentes, ambas experiencias intensas y humildes.

Me fascina crecer y cambiar, y trabajar con niños es una excelente manera de reflexionar sobre ello.

Además, me encanta el collage y el dibujo. Me encantan las reuniones artísticas y las residencias, y todos mis amigos son artistas increíbles con quienes compartí tantos procesos de creación reconfortantes.

Estoy tratando de encontrar una manera de ser vulnerable y resiliente al mismo tiempo. Tengo mucho que compartir y mucho que aprender, y no puedo esperar para estar allí.

Currently, I am really interested in learning Spanish. I have been reading some books and watching tv shows and I am passionate about the way it sounds and how similar and at the same time how different it is from Portuguese. I have taught English to kids and loved it. When I was 18 years old, I learned a little bit of mandarin, but I lost it over the years. I feel like you always lose and gain something when you are speaking a language that is not your own. I feel very particularly about it and want to explore more of that feeling.

I have done summer camps, cleaning, organizing, getting creative.
I have studied International Relations and Political Science for 3 years.
Done an internship in Amsterdam, in a music related start up, volunteered in an NGO in Athens.

I participated in the Teach For Portugal program, where I got to prepare and give classes to children from 10 to 13 years old. I also got the chance to work in a museum, in São Miguel (Açores), in the educational service, which I loved.

I have worked in a forest school, in Portugal, for about 8 months.

My main interests include design, nature and talking to people. I think I am an adaptable person who really likes to discover new things and learn new skills. I like to work with my hands and move a lot, but I am also okay with doing office work.

I have a desire to connect with nature and the farm world a bit more deeply, finding out more sustainable ways to relate to the environment that surrounds me.

He estudiado Relaciones Internacionales y Ciencias Políticas durante 3 años.
Hice una pasantía en Ámsterdam, en una startup relacionada con la música, y también fui voluntaria en una ONG en Atenas.

Participé en el programa Teach For Portugal, donde tuve la oportunidad de preparar y dar clases a niños de 10 a 13 años. También tuve la oportunidad de trabajar en un museo, en São Miguel (Azores), en el servicio educativo, lo cual me encantó.

Mis principales intereses incluyen el diseño, la naturaleza y conversar con personas. Creo que soy una persona adaptable a la que realmente le gusta descubrir cosas nuevas y aprender nuevas habilidades. Me gusta trabajar con las manos y moverme mucho, pero también me siento bien haciendo trabajo de oficina.

Tengo el deseo de conectarme con la naturaleza y el mundo agrícola de una manera más profunda, descubriendo formas más sostenibles de relacionarme con el entorno que me rodea.

Love to play the guitar and sing my own songs but haven´t done that in a while.

Oh, and I am passionate about games, I love any kind of game, especially word games. I play a lot with my friends. They say I am a bit competitive, but don't believe them.....
