Hello, nice to meet you!
My name is Aurore (you can call me Ory). I’m 32 years old, originally from France, and I’ve been living abroad for over 17 years. Living internationally has shaped who I am, and I’m not ready to stop exploring just yet. Australia has been on my mind for more than two years, and I’m very excited to finally be here. I’m looking to settle long-term, without rigid expectations — choosing instead to flow into this new adventure with confidence and curiosity.

I’ll be arriving in Perth on March 2nd and I’m looking for a Workaway opportunity where I can help with whatever is needed.

A little about me:
I’m a vibrant mix of energy and creativity, driven by a deep passion for bringing people and communities together. Over the past 14 years, I’ve worked in France, Germany, Italy, and Vietnam in a wide range of roles, including HR Manager, Event Manager, Brand Image Consultant, waitress, dog-sitter, yoga teacher, dance teacher, and artist.
What connects all these experiences is my love for designing meaningful, memorable experiences that spark connection and conversation long after the moment has passed.

Animals:

I am a huge animal lover and have always lived with animals. In recent months, I’ve been dog-sitting two wonderful dogs — a Husky and a German Shepherd — and I’m very comfortable with large breeds and long-term care.

Children:

I started babysitting at the age of 15. My two younger sisters are 13 years younger than me, so caring for children has always been part of my life. I also have extensive experience as a babysitter in Germany, where I looked after two boys for over five years. References can be provided if needed.

Gardening & Outdoor Work:

I’m very active and love being outdoors — I don’t mind getting dirty at all. I’m a fast learner and enjoy acquiring new practical skills. Over the past few months, I’ve been doing basic gardening regularly and have already developed solid foundational knowledge.

Art & Painting:

I’ve been painting since childhood. About four years ago, I began developing a small artistic career, focusing on wood painting and furniture renovation.

Yoga & Pilates:

I have completed over 500 hours of yoga training and truly love teaching wherever I go.

Dance:

Dance is a central part of my life. I’ve been taking classes since I could walk, and more recently I’ve taught somatic dance workshops to groups in Germany and France.

On a more personal note :
I love cinema and books, and can talk about for hours.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Experience in Volunteering:
I am part of the Surfrider Foundation for a few years to help with the Human resources and administration part.
I am also part of the "Entourage" foundation, to help the homeless in France, by sharing their needs, by talking with them, and organizing event, to improve or change their lives. Through those foundation, I learned a lot, about me, and the meaning I wanted to give to my life.


Experience - Skills :

-2 years - and a half - at Patagonia Company in Munich - as a Event/Marketing/enviro Point person: supporting local environmental projects ( NGO) - organizing Event - part of the Worn Wear tour to repair clothes - and part time in the Sales team in the store

- I worked for 4 years in sales: welcoming - organizing - handling the cash register, customer satisfaction ...
- 3 years as a freelancer in communication and organizing event - with restaurants or Climbing Concept ( Arkose France)
- 1 years/half in Human resources management in Germany: I took care of 20 engineers
- 10 Years Babysitting - with children from ages 1 year- to 15 years old.
-Since three months now : part of two foundation - SURFRIDER - ENTOURAGE - Ocean protection and Homeless people helping
I am very creative, I love to draw, to paint :) In my previous experiences, I worked in a Climbing concept, and I handle the complete change, of each part of it - reorganization - building - choosing the right plants, furnitures
Language :
I lived for 11 years in Luxembourg, so German is part f my native language.
My mum worked for years in the American embassy, so I am grateful to handle also English very good!
Still French, so maybe, you will find a few mistakes in the description , nobody is perfect :)
