Hey! I’m Antonia (26 years old), a calm, easy-going and open-minded person from Germany, and I’m currently looking forward to discovering more of the world through Workaway.

I am currently travelling Australia, New Zealand and Asia and hope to meet nice people, discover beautiful places and make unforgettable experiences.

I’ve always wanted to travel and see different parts of the world, but for me, travelling is about more than just visiting tourist attractions. I’d love to meet people from different backgrounds, experience different cultures and get a feel for what everyday life is really like in other places. Workaway seems like a great way to do that while also contributing my time and skills instead of just being a tourist.

I’m quite relaxed and enjoy having some quiet time for myself. I’m sociable and enjoy spending time with others, but I also appreciate having the possibility to retreat and recharge.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing, drawing and painting, reading, listening to music and watching films and series. I’m generally a creative person and enjoy finding new things to do and learning from the people and places around me.

When sharing a home with others, I value cleanliness, consideration and open communication. I think it’s important to respect each other’s routines and personal space, while also being able to spend time together and have a good laugh.

I’m excited to see where this journey takes me, meet interesting people, experience everyday life in new places and hopefully make some great memories along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m an easy-going, reliable and open-minded person who enjoys getting involved in different kinds of projects, meeting new people and experiencing different ways of life. I’m organised and responsible, but also flexible and happy to adapt to new situations.

I’m comfortable with everyday cooking and household tasks and I’m happy to help with keeping things clean, tidy and organised. I also really enjoy creative and hands-on projects. I can draw and paint and love crafting, decorating and making things by hand.

I have a background in Media Studies, German Literature and Marketing, with a focus on social media, PR and editorial writing. I have experience with Instagram, TikTok, Canva, video editing and some WordPress and Photoshop. I’d be happy to help with creating social media content, writing or editing texts, coming up with content ideas, communication or other creative projects.

I also have three months of volunteer experience in animal welfare projects in Costa Rica. I helped clean and maintain animal enclosures, prepare and distribute food, and care for animals on a daily basis. I also helped with sea turtle conservation by monitoring the beach for new nests and documenting their locations. On some occasions, I was present during egg-laying and helped with relocating nests when necessary. Another part of my experience was spending time with baby monkeys that needed a mother substitute, providing them with companionship and care.

I also have experience riding horses and feel comfortable around them. I can groom and saddle horses and would be happy to help with horse-related tasks.

These experiences taught me to be responsible, patient and attentive when working with animals, while also being comfortable with practical and sometimes physically demanding tasks.

My native language is German and I speak English very well. I also have basic knowledge of Spanish.

I’m comfortable working independently, but I also enjoy being part of a team. I like taking initiative, but I’m not afraid to ask questions when I’m unsure about something. I’m respectful of other people’s routines and spaces and I always try to be helpful wherever I can.

I’m open to different kinds of Workaway projects and especially interested in experiences where I can contribute my skills, learn something new and become part of everyday life in a new environment.
