Hi! I’m Antón, I’m 21 years old and I’m from Galicia, in the north of Spain. I’ve recently finished my degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and I’m taking a gap year before deciding what I want to study next.

During this year I would really like to travel, discover new places, meet people from different cultures and learn from different ways of living. I’m very curious, open-minded and adaptable, and I enjoy being part of a group and helping with practical tasks.

I really love animals and spending time in nature, so I would be especially happy in places where I can help with animals, outdoor work, farms or environmental projects. I also enjoy sports and being active.

I have experience working with children and young people. I have given private lessons and I have also coached basketball for children, which taught me patience, responsibility, communication and how to adapt to different personalities. I have also worked in a clothing store, so I’m used to working with people and being responsible.

I’m new to Workaway, but that is exactly why I’m excited to start. I see it as a great opportunity to travel in a more meaningful way, improve my English, learn new skills and share everyday life with people from different backgrounds. I’m happy to help, learn and get involved in whatever the project needs.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am comfortable with both physical and mental work, and I enjoy learning new things and adapting to different situations. I am happy to help with practical tasks, outdoor work, cleaning, organising, basic maintenance or any hands-on activity, but I can also contribute with more analytical or technical tasks thanks to my scientific background.

I also really love animals and I am very used to taking care of them. At home I live with three Border Collies and we also have a small farm, so feeding animals, cleaning, looking after them and being around them is part of my daily life.

I am a quick learner, responsible and curious, and I like understanding how things work. I also have experience teaching children, coaching basketball and working with people, so I am used to communicating, being patient and working as part of a team. I am open to learning new skills and I am not afraid of trying something I have never done before.
