Description

Hello all! I'm Annabelle and I hail from a small, rainy, seaside town in the North of England. I have many interests and hobbies including natural healthcare, foraging, exploring, conservation and eco-projects as well as being a general nomadic creative soul. I currently run my own eco-friendly cleaning business and also work in hospitality but I'm looking to mix things up a bit. I'm an experienced traveller and have used Workaway before but had a break from it since COVID times. Some of the wonderful places I have visited include Finland, Poland, Estonia, Germany, Spain , Switzerland and I've been very lucky to live and work in places like the UK's Lake District & Snowdonia, Italy's Tuscany and the French Alps where I have spent about 6 seasons for the last 10 years.

I now have a beautiful whippet dog named Juniper who is nearly 2 years old so would be looking for a dog-friendly household who don't mind a bit of whippet energy. She generally gets on well with other dogs and enjoys a good run (typical of her breed.)

I currently have a French residency that permits me to live and work in France until October 2026 so no visas will be required for my stay making things slightly more easy. I speak intermediate French but there is still quite a way to go. :)

I'm so excited to get back out into some beautiful mountainous regions and would be really interested in learning anything off-grid, gardening, as previously mentioned I am great at cleaning, I'm a pretty good (vegetarian/vegan) cook, I am very hardworking and will make myself as useful as I can be, anything I'm in-experienced in I am open and willing to learn with gusto and enthusiasm.

Good Computing and I.T skills, BA (Hons) First Class degree in Music Technology, Photography, Sound design, Songwriting, Piano, Ukulele, French speaking (intermediate), Previous work positions: Bar tender, hotel receptionist, eco-friendly commercial/residential cleaner, office administrator, retail sales assistant.
