I will arrive in Auckland on 15th November and I plan to stay in the area until end of January 2025.
Hello dear Reader and Kia Ora,
I'm a curious traveller and optimistic person who wants to experience and learn new things. Always happy to give a hand with almost anything.
I used to work as a Production Technician and was responsible for operating manufacturing lines, performing lot changes, using calibrated measurement equipment and troubleshooting. Therefore I interacted closely with other Production Technicians and Electromechanics to identify, communicate and perform corrective actions. This job requiered me to work in a shift system.
Unfortunately it got a bit boring recently and I'm not fit to work in this shift system any longer.
To pursue my dream of traveling around the world, I decided to go on a working holiday once again. I choose new zealand because my boyfriend had been there before and told me to go and see the beautiful nature and meet the nice people there myself.
During my first working holiday pre covid, I went to Japan. There I had the possbility to work at a conbini (mini supermarket) restocking the shelves and cleaning, at a hostel as Cleaning/Housekeeping staff as well as at a farm, weeding in the bean fields, harvesting and sorting potatos; they even let me drive the conbine harvester to harvest Soba (buckwheat) in autumn! I really loved beeing out there in almost all weather conditions, as we went soil sampling in pouring rain after all the harvesting was done. Those days were long and the people very nice. I didn't know about workaway during that time, so I'm new to this site.
As a Working Holiday Visa holder I love to travel slowly and take my time to get to know the place and some of the locals I'm staying with. I also enjoy beeing by myself.
The best memories are with other people, fellow travellers, colleageus or locals I've met along the way.
I'm passionate about:
- Scrapbooking; always looking for cute stamps and stickers or a nice flyer to keep in my journal.
- Photography; I've negelcted it a bit, so I want to restart my photography journey with some great landscape pictures.
- Books; I like reading, something I could do everywhere.
- Jogging and staying fit; I've started Crossfit classes last year and I love it!Centres d’intérêt

I'm a member of our local volunteer fire department and used to volunteer for the bavarian red cross as a low level paramedic.
Together with my boyfriend and my best friend and her husband we are playing Gloomhaven, a table top tactical role playing game. We've been on it for almost two years now.

Feedback
Somewhat unusual for a host to accommodate around 15 people but it worked out well.
There were different everyday duties like empting the compost toilettes, cooking lunch for such a large group and doing the dishes. Everyone contributed what suits one best.
