Hi there, :-)
I'm Anita, tricky saying where I'm from, Lol. I am half German, half Indian, I hold German and Canadian citizenship, Overseas citizenship to India & a NIN from the UK. I’m what might be called a third culture kid.
I've been in the Matrix/Rat race/Workforce, for over 21 years now. Growing up, my siblings and I were home-schooled.

Finished University quite some years ago, with an advanced Psychology degree. Most of my working life has been in the social sector working with children/youth ages 0 to 21, including those with physical and psychological disabilities, in 4 different countries; and in a wide variety of settings/environments, including Kindergartens, Preschools, After school centers, Group homes, Homework help, Assistant Teacher, Holiday Camps Leader, Respite work, Tutoring, Autism training and English and German lessons etc.

I love traveling and do as much of it as I can. I grew up in the UK & India, immigrated to Canada in my late teens, a few years later moved to Berlin for a couple University transfer student years before moving back to Canada and graduating. During the pandemic my grandparents requested I move to Bavaria, Germany to be closer to them, thus I've been in Bavaria since November 2020. In February 2025, I quit my full time job as a Kindergarten Teacher in Ingolstadt and started traveling. I’ve also worked in 2025 as a Holiday Camp Leader some weeks of the German school holidays.

Why did I do this…?
Over the last few years (and compounded by the corona nightmare) I've become increasingly disillusioned with the way the world is moving, evolving and changing. I am not at all inspired or motivated to continue in the same old Rat Race another 35 years. Thus, I am looking to try out alternative ways of living, learning, working, vacationing, traveling and being alive!

Enter - Workaway.info! In all honesty, my Goal is to try out as many new things as I can and learn as much as I possibly can! I have a German driver's license and excellent health insurance. I want, through my skills, to contribute as much as I can to hosts who would be gracious enough to have me. My first language is English, I also speak German, I can understand a decent amount of Hindi and speak a little bit too, also a few words of French.

On the relaxation side, I love reading, enjoy hiking, snowboarding, swimming, cooking, dancing, listening to music, sometimes binge watching TV shows. I love nature and I like to work out, and have also started doing yoga. Traveling is my ultimate love, I try to do as much of it as I can. Since being in Germany the last few years, visiting different cities in Europe, absorbing the art and history museums, older architecture/castles, trying street foods, local cuisines and drinks has been a big part of my vacation weeks every year.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Professional Organizer (I love organizing) and Cleaner, I am actually quite good at cleaning, expert dishwasher, even for large groups.
Professional Home Cook (I also love cooking), I much prefer using whole ingredients and cooking from scratch, and I have plenty of experience cooking for large groups.
I've done some gardening, casually, every year for the last 8 or so years, vegetables, herbs, etc, also helping my Opa clearing paths, trimming hedges, cutting trees, pulling up trees etc.
English teacher (Children and Adults)
I worked as a Waitress/Bartender in Canada and Germany for about 4 or so years during my time in University.
The last year and a half been working part time at a Bakery/Deli.
I've been in the social sector working with children/youth from 0 - 21 for almost 20 years.
Very eager to learn as much as I can
