Description
We’re Marie (French-Canadian) and Andrew (Australian). We’ve been traveling extensively for the past few years, exploring the world and participating in all sorts of different projects around the world (building, animal rescuing, permaculture). In 2017, we bought a big piece of land in the mountains of British Columbia in Canada. During the Summer months, we’ve been developing our land, building little cabins and gardens, whilst still traveling during the Winter months. In 2021, we’ve started building our main house, with hempcrete. We’re passionate about sustainable and natural building and how we can make a positive impact on the environment. Over the years, we’ve had volunteers coming and helping us on our land and we always had amazing experiences.
Being on the road again, we’re looking to participate again in interesting projects, meet new people, share knowledge, give our time, stay active and live great experiences. We’re both easy-going and calm people. We like reading and hiking.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Originally, Marie is a graphic designer and Andrew has been a wine exporter in the past. Whilst traveling though, we’ve acquired a whole range of new skills. We did a permaculture design course in Costa Rica, learned masonry in Portugal, built with earth bags in Nepal and learned Earthship building in New Mexico. We’ve also volunteer in an animal rescue center in Costa Rica which was really fun. Since we bought our piece of land in 2017, we’ve also developed a lot more skills. As we’re building our house ourselves, we can say that we have skills in carpentry, roofing, making foundations, plastering and all the other small things involved when building a house.

We’re traveling to see the beauties of the world, but we’re also fascinated to see how people live around the world. We are interested in alternative ways of living and the simple good life (good food, purposeful work, good laugh and friendship). We both like playing board/card games. Marie likes meditation, whilst Andrew loves basketball.
