Hi! I’m Andrea, a psychologist with a strong desire to explore the world and learn from every experience.
My main motivation for joining Workaway is the cultural exchange. I love traveling, discovering new ways of living, connecting with people from different parts of the world, and gaining new perspectives and ways of understanding life. Traveling allows me to grow not only as a person but also as a professional, as I believe that every experience has something unique to offer. As a psychologist, I am always attentive to human behavior and how different cultures influence our emotions, values, and ways of relating to each other.
I’m a creative and reflective person, but I also enjoy moments of adventure and spontaneity. I love art, and I often find it to be a way of expressing myself and connecting with others. I’m also fascinated by Moroccan culture: I’ve been studying Fusha Arabic for two years, and I’ve recently started learning Moroccan Arabic because I want to better understand its cultural richness and the stories that each corner of the country has to tell.
Some of my hobbies include reading, creating art, and spending time in nature.
One of my biggest motivations for traveling is my belief in social justice and the exchange of knowledge. Participating in volunteer initiatives is, for me, a way to contribute to the common good and learn from others who share these values.
Although I’m new to Workaway, I’ve done volunteer work both inside and outside of my hometown, Barcelona. I consider myself an open, respectful, and curious person, eager to learn and share experiences.
I’m excited about the possibility of being part of the Workaway community and I hope to bring my energy and enthusiasm to the places where I have the opportunity to collaborate.

Yes, I’m very interested in both learning and teaching languages! I would love to share my knowledge of my native languages, Spanish and Catalan, and I can also help teach English. Additionally, I’m really keen on learning Moroccan Arabic, as I find it a fascinating language and culture. I believe language exchange is a great way to connect with others and learn from different perspectives.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a psychologist specialized in emergencies and deeply committed to gender equity issues. I work with people with intellectual disabilities, which has given me valuable experience, especially in terms of empathy, patience, and problem-solving.

I speak Catalan, Spanish, and English fluently, and I also have basic knowledge of Arabic. I’d be more than happy to share my native languages with anyone who needs or wants to learn, whether to improve communication or simply for the joy of teaching and learning together.

In addition, I have a very present creative side. I love making art, whether through painting, drawing, or crafting, always as a personal form of expression and enjoyment rather than a professional activity. For me, art is an excellent way to connect with others and release emotions and thoughts.

I’m convinced that sharing my knowledge and skills can be helpful in many contexts. I’m always eager to learn new things and to bring my enthusiasm and positive energy wherever I go.

In addition to what I’ve already mentioned, I really enjoy camping and rock climbing, being outdoors and connecting with nature is something I love. I also enjoy having deep and meaningful conversations about life, and anything that sparks curiosity. I’m always up for exploring new places and experiences.
