Hello! We’re Amy and Justin two travellers from Australia exploring Europe & hoping to meet people, learn skills, and see what life is like here.

We would love to work our way across Europe while we explore little villages, learn about history, enjoy delicious local food, and make new connections. We have experience caring for animals, doing farmwork, woodworking, cooking/cleaning, childcare, gardening and other maintenance. Our favourite things to do travelling are learning about local cultures and traditions and being in nature to relish the peace and beauty, and making new friends along the way. In our downtime we like to have meals together, read books, and play card games.

We’re both around 30 years old and have done lots of pet sitting (through Trusted Housesitters) and some permaculture/DIY work (WWOOFING). We’ve really enjoyed getting to know our hosts, caring for new animals friends, and learning permaculture and DIY skills.

Professional work-wise Amy has worked as an environmental scientist for 5 years, and before that worked as a nanny and in hospitality/customer service. Justin has worked for >6 years as a mechanical engineer and before that in hospitality/customer service for 8 years (coffee-making, kitchenhand, shopfront).

We love watching films, reading, learning about history & ecology, cooking & snorkelling. We love to go for walks, sit somewhere with a book and watch the sunset or the moonrise. We try to focus on appreciating life, nature & friendships.

We’d love to stay with you and help out while we learn some skills and meet interesting new people :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are both fast learners, good at following instructions and enjoy doing a good job!

Amy has worked an environmental scientist (geography and ecology) and Justin worked as a mechanical engineer (water and wastewater).

We have lots of experience caring for animals through Trusted Housesitters and have enjoyed looking after cats, dogs, poultry, birds and sheep.

We have done volunteer farmwork before (through WWOOFing) including garden maintenance, working in vegetable beds, milling wheat.

We have a campervan which we built out to travel in (back home in Aus) so taught ourselves basic carpentry skills through that project.

We are physically fit and capable of doing work such as gardening and planting and farmwork.

We both like cooking and are happy to help prepare a meal to enjoy together.

We are interested in learning new skills!
