Description

I am an avid traveller excited by exploring the world!
I've spent a lot of time growing up working at music festivals which has made me an open minded and fun loving person who is prepared to work hard and as a part of a team.

I want to experience culture and meet other travellers through volunteering.

I am currently on a 6 month trip starting in Nepal; slowly moving south (ideally without flying) to India and then onto Sri Lanka.

I recently visited Costa Rica and Guatemala and have also traveled around Europe visiting places such as Budapest, Florence, Zagreb and Lisbon. As a young child I also saw Thailand, Australia and India.

I love being outside, meeting new people and adventures.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've had a lot of involvement working in hospitality so I'm friendly, know my way around a kitchen and can communicate well. (I'm a pretty good cook too)

Most of this experience comes from working in a food stand at music festivals back in England as well as being a waitress in a few restaurants.
This has made me a resilient, hard working team player who is open minded and able to take direction.

I'm a practical and hands on person, keen to help find solutions and I learn quickly.
I get a great joy out of fixing things !

I also have experience with landscape gardening and love getting my hands in the dirt.

Back home I teach self defence classes (based in Brazilian jiu jitsu) to adults and children - so rewarding and exciting.

I've done lots of hiking and camping so am comfortable roughing it - sleeping in tents, making fires, putting up hammocks etc.

I've worked with young children at a youth group helping with various activities such as crafts and outside games. I have taught Brazilian jiu jitsu classes to kids of varying ages. I also regularly babysit a few children though family friends.

My Workaway experience consists of a dog sanctuary in Guatemala, a pre school in Costa Rica, a farm stay in Nepal and a Cob building project in north India.
