We live in Cornwall and spend our time nurturing the family and traversing our beautiful county. Amanda is a retired osteopath and now teaches manual therapists. Anthony is retired from construction.

Hello. I'm Amanda. I love to learn about culture and languages. My husband and I are travelling around Europe and hope to meet and volunteer using our skills to help and assist in exchange for friendship and food. We are keen to learn more about off grid and ecological living, have an enormous appreciation for wildlife and foraging and love to meet people of this ilk.

Anthony has over 30 years experience in all things groundworks and construction. A meticulous man who takes pride in his work. Amanda has 20 years in the field of osteopathy, gardens fanatically, is an avid walker, a fan of all things history, astronomy and a chandler. Both of us are fit, healthy foodies and like to spend time together cooking.

We are music lovers, both very resourceful and have a wealth of knowledge and experience, having lived in rural Spain with our young family on an olive farm where we had no amenities/running water/electricity etc. For some time.

We had a very busy month with Steve, Lesley and the gorgeous Dave helping to clean gites and do some general repair work.
The work is not physically hard and the day is yours to enjoy once you're done.

Even though I didn´t get the chance to meet Amanda and Anthony, I felt very confident in leaving them my house and animals, and even my son who returned before me.

We were lucky enough to stay at Joe ans Katys for a few weeks while they were off on holiday. We had the most wonderful 3 weeks caring for the most impeccably behaved dog ever; Nia. What a great couple to have looking after our home and Nia while we were away on holiday. Anthony really helped out with our garden and even did a bit of painting for us (His favourite job, apparently :) )

We had a thorough introduction to life in Egypt staying with Hans and Yvonne. I have to say I've never met a kinder pair. Yvonne is one determined lady with a lot of resolve to do good things. The placement description is very accurate and it's certainly a case of no two days are alike. The tasks required of a couple are very varied indeed and you often need to wear several hats at one time.
