Hello!
Our names are Tilde and Alma. We are two swedish girls looking for adventure in Australia. We both love meeting interesting people and learning about new cultures.
We met in 2022 working at the same restaurant in a ski resort in northern Sweden and had the luck of becoming roommates.
We love the outdoors. Being surrounded by beautiful nature really inspires us.

I love learning new languages. I studied Spanish and English in school. I think languages are so important and learning someone else’s way of speaking is amazing. I would love to share my language and culture. I have experience in teaching children.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Alma:
2022 I graduated from swedish highschool where I studied social studies.

Since I graduated I’ve been working as a waitress and preschool teacher. I absolutely love working with people, you always learn so much! A kid once asked me why I’m always so happy and I think that describes me pretty well.
Working with children is the best job I’ve ever had. I always learn so much from them and their way of viewing the world.

I used to live on the countryside before moving closer to the city. I therefore have experience with animals and gardening. We used to have goats, chickens, bunnies and even geese. Now we have two lovely dogs which I love to take out on long walks. Even though we now live in the city my mom still grows all our vegetables and I love to help out.

Swedish and English were some of my top subjects in school, I love languages and literature. So if you would like to learn some Swedish I am always down. I also know some Spanish but I’m definitely not fluent yet.
My grandpa was a carpenter and my mom sews a lot so I would say my genes are pretty handy. I am better with a thread and needle but working with carpentry is also fun. I have worked part time as a truck driver and having to lift a lot of heavy loads I would say I’m good with heavy weights.
I am very enthusiastic when it comes to art. Though it doesn’t have to be on a canvas, I’m good with painting walls as well.
I love learning about cultures, people and new things overall. So I will always say yes to learning new skills.

Tilde: In 2022 I graduated from high school where I studied science. I’ve always been interested in subjects like physics, chemistry and matematichs. I have actually worked as a private tutor in maths so if you have kids at home that find math (or other subjects) a bit challenging I would love to help! Even though I love maths, my absolute favorite subjects is biology. I have always found learning about nature, different spices and eco systems very absorbing. I am now keen on exploring natural settings that different to the Swedish ones I am familiar with. Therefore I would really enjoy to live on the Australian countryside and help out in someones home.

I have some skills in gardening since I was a cemetery worker the summer of 2021 and 2022. On this job I maintained the cemetery area, planted flowers, mowed lawn and performed weeding by hand. Also, my family have a big garden at home which I’ve been helping to take care of. A lot of the vegetables we eat at home are grown in our garden. I really enjoy cooking with our home made crops. I also find baking very delightful and this something I frequently do together with my little brother. We love to try out new delicious recipes together!

Just before I left for this trip I was a home care worker in my hometown. The daily tasks consisted of taking care of elderly people and their homes. This job has taught me a lot about people and life in general, but it has also made me excellent in housekeeping! This makes me convinced that I am fit for a broad variety of shores that you might need help with! If there is something I am not familiar with I am always up for learning new things!

Alma: My biggest hobby is definitely painting. I also like to read a lot. Harry Potter will always be a favorite but I also love classics such as wuthering heights. I do spend a lot of time outdoors. Hiking in the Swedish mountains is fantastic but just taking a walk in the forest is also great. Running outside and training at the gym is also some of the things I enjoy. Spending time with my grandmother always makes me happy. I have worked with elderly so taking care of people is something I enjoy. Me and my little brother also like to cook a lot. Would love to teach the way of making great Swedish meatballs.

Tilde: I live in a big family of six people and two bunnies in the countryside outside of Stockholm. I’ve always enjoyed nature ever since I was a little girl. Being outside in remote areas brings me so much peace and joy. In addition, I am a very active person and I love to hike, explore and see new places and people. Dancing is one of my passions and I have danced and competed in various styles of dance ever since I was 4 years old.
