Just a little notice ahead :) We were traveling with the platform HelpX before. So don't worry we don't have many reviews. You can see some of our reviews in our gallery here. We absolutely love it!

WHO WE ARE

It's lovely to meet you :) We are Alexander and Katharina from Germany. We are positive thinking people, mindful and respectful and we are convinced that there is always a meaning behind the things that happen. We are spontaneous, open-minded and easy-going. We love to live without plans to enjoy every moment of our lives.

We are interested in traveling and we love to be in nature. As well we like reading books and gaining new energy while exploring new areas. Also, we love to learn a new language together with locals especially in their own country. Getting to know their idiomatic expressions and their own slang… it’s just a special and magical feeling.

We are always looking for a meaningful stay close to people to connect on a deeper level but we also love our privacy as well. That means we love to stay in a room beeing part of the family instead of living in a tent or camper van isolated from the people.

In our free time we love to work online so a stable and fast Wi-Fi connection or mobile service would be great. We have our own mobile router if there is a good mobile connection.

We both got our diplomas and worked for a couple of years. But we had the same thought: There has to be more than just working from 9 to 5. There are so many beautiful places on earth, different cultures and various ways of living life. Our curiosity was stronger than the fear of changing our lives completely. It felt to be the right time to try something new. Traveling indefinitely without any specific plans.
Our first big adventure trip has started in Australia in April 2015. After Australia we went to Southeast Asia, India, North and South America until March 2018.

At the moment we are on our second bigger trip around Europe with our Van.

Katharina is fluent with Spanish but Alexander ist still learning and understands single words and phrases.

We are both spiritual people and practice Yoga, Meditation, Qi Gong or Tai Chi on a daily basis. Once in a while we jump in ice water or find inner peace in a ceremony or dance our heards open in a spiritual dance event. We love the idea of alternative medicine like Shamanism and plant medicine.

We don't drink Alkohol, we are non smokers and we don't do other drugs but we respect other peoples needs.

*️️️️️️️ Childcare
Well, we both love children. Me, Katharina, I am the oldest of 6 cousins and I am the sister of a younger brother so I just always had to take care of children entertaining them :) Kids are fascinating. Spending time with them just always makes us smile. So we would be happy supporting you by taking care of your children or even teaching them some English, German or even some words in Spanish. We both have advanced English skills. I spent 6 months in the states when I was 17 and Alex improved his English skills during our time in Australia and Canada.
- Experience: Me, Katharina, I helped some kids in Germany to improve their English skills to prepare for important tests at school. | We took care of two school kids in Australia when we were living with a family for a week. |We lived with quite a few families and were around kids entertaining them.
*️️️️️️️ Physical Work/ Skilled craftsman
We are motivated helping you with for instance housekeeping or gardening. Doing physical work out in nature or being part of a work project is making us very happy. Alex is an enthusiastic and skilled craftsman and always able to cope with heavy workload.
- Experience: During our time is Australia and Canada we were living with a few families and we helped them with lots of gardening, work around the house, housework and renovating their houses (paving, painting fences and recreating the garden).
*️️️️️️️ Technical work
Alex has worked as a technician for security systems so he is really talented in dealing with any technical stuff.
*️️️️️️️ Animal care
We both love animals, so if you got some work referring taking care of animals we would really enjoy doing that.
- Experience: In Australia we spent two weeks on a lime-tree farm and we took care of quite a few animals (chickens, goats, dogs and a horse). We got to know how to feed goat babies and it just felt incredible being responsible for all these animals. | During our time in Canada we stayed on a hobby farm for two weeks and took care of the goats, chickens and rabbits.

WHY WE REGISTERED HERE
During our trip we would love to stay with locals. We are interested in getting to know more about their culture and individual way of life instead of just living like a tourist. Living with a lovely family, having a house sharing or living in a great community with lovely and open-minded people would be great. In return we would love to give something back :)
