Hi! I'm Ale, from Uruguay.

I'm 31 years old and this is my second time in Japan. The first time was in 2019 and I spent 2 months in Mie prefecture doing workaway, helping with English conversation practice. Last August I came back with a working holiday visa, and so far I've visited Tokyo, Kawaguchi Lake, Ise, Kumano, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Himeji, Naoshima, Hiroshima and Okinawa. I spent most of the time in Osaka and Okinawa helping at guesthouses in exchange for accommodation.

After Okinawa I want to go to Shizuoka or Yamanashi to see the cherry blossoms around the Mt. Fuji area. I'd really love to have the amazing opportunity of staying with locals while doing some helpful activities to integrate to the household or helping in a business in exchange of accomodation.

My goal is to get a better understanding of the culture and practice my Japanese so that I can find a part time job to earn some money for my travels and see more amazing places in Japan.

I'm a Spanish native speaker and I worked as an English teacher for 4 years in Uruguay. I also have a Spanish as a second language teacher certificate and some experience teaching Spanish to foreigners. I want to learn Japanese and be able to speak it fluently. I studied Japanese when I was in university many years ago and got the JLPT N5 certificate.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm a certified English-Spanish Public Translator and Spanish as a second language teacher. Spanish is my mothertongue and I'm decently fluent in English. I worked teaching English during four years when I was in Uruguay. I'm also learning Japanese, and I passed the N5 JLPT exam many years ago.
My most important skills are my patience and amiable disposition. I have experience teaching languages to young and old and also taking care of children and pets. I'm reasonably good with technology, but not an expert, and I have experience working with customers, as I worked briefly as a cashier and a waitress. I have very limited farm/gardening skills, but I'm a fast learner and a hardworking person so any lack of experience will not be an inconvenience. I've helped my father with rose pruning before and I love a beautiful garden and plants in general. Also, I have helped my sister in law with painting and I enjoy small DIY projects and fixing things around the house. Finally, I really enjoy baking sweets and trying new recipes.
