Description

Hi! I am a team player and hard worker exploring enrichment through hands-on learning. I have some experience doing physical work (esp. tending to crops and weeding/weedwacking) and fitting in with a live-in community. I spent early april - early August of this year doing continuous WWOOF/Workaway first at an avocado/passion fruit farm and then at a sustainability property and event space. In the past I had a short term stay at Rigdzin Ling Buddhist temple (near the Trinity Alps) where I worked/practiced. I am passionate about getting to know people and learning from their skills and life experiences.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

-Working at Rigdzin Ling Buddhist temple I did landscaping/event prep:

primarily assisted the head landscaper, but also helped prepare for events while facilitating the day to day life of the community there - I helped with everything from ceremonies to washing a village worth of dishes.

-lots of weeding/weedwacking at Rigdzin Ling and a few short term WWOOF stays

-at lilykoi farm I did agricultural work:

pruned, planted, propagated passion fruit and did some work with irrigation lines and sprinklers. participated in group construction of garden bed using ‘aircrete’

-at Windtree (santa Cruz mountains)
I did hospitality, gardening/cropping, landscaping:

I oversaw the main veggie garden - planting starts, soil care and prep using manure and compost, made hugelkultur bed and compost tea, daily watering, harvesting.
Before work trades I’d grown food successfully in raised beds in my backyard for a couple years.

-More than any technical skill I provide a physically fit 28 year old man who enjoys hard work and has a positive attitude, a clean lifestyle, and community social experience
