Traveling is something I have always been drawn to- near or far. I am always grateful for opportunities to meet new people and have new experiences. I think opportunities like Workaway give us the opportunity to learn and grow as people.
I try to make the most of any situation and consider myself a hard worker who is always open to learning. I believe everyone has a story and it's from our shared experiences that we grow. I find contentment in plant-based foods, live music, and observation. I would say I have a contemplative nature and love deeply and gently. I find comfort in silence but also enjoy a really good conversation-laughter too.

My background includes growing up on a small farm in rural Kentucky. I was raised without central heat and air, learned organic farming practices, and gave love to all animals that came and went. I have always been a lover of learning and passionate about education-both within and outside of the classroom. I now have my Master’s degree and a background in social work and therapy, but I believe there is more to social work than a title and paper work- I think true social work can be done anywhere and take form in many ways.

For the most part, I feel like I’ve always been searching for something. I don’t have any expectations for what I will find, nor do I know what I’m looking for. But I’m okay with that. I’m looking forward to future opportunities and am grateful that I even have the fortune to be able to explore this path. Thank you for your time.

Experience with organic farming, comfortable with food preparation, handy work, cleaning, interpersonal communication, work with both children and the elderly, and time-efficient organization. Most importantly, I am thorough and have a willingness to learn!
