Description

Hi! I'm a 20 year old Chinese girl, born in the US and living in the UK, so I grew up experiencing and loving different cultures and languages. I'm currently a psychology student at Cambridge university.

I really care about inequality, human rights, sustainability, and climate change. I worked at a think tank researching these issues this summer, and my dream after graduating university is to join an NGO.

Over the last year's work exchanges, I've had the opportunity to work on a few German farms, help a family with childcare in Spain, and coach Japanese students in international development and English!

I bring a strong passion to everything I do, and can't wait to learn more about the culture and lived experience of people in the next country I visit :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Experience with children and youth:
- Mentored 30 students from disadvantaged backgrounds online through an access programme
- Privately tutored Math and English for over 5 years
- Have hosted Q&As and spoken with students as a university ambassador
- Taught English to students in 4 high schools in Japan this summer
- Hosted presentations and workshops with students across 10 schools in low-income areas in the UK through my university's access programme

Volunteering/charity experience:
- Worked with children and adults with disabilities at a charity swim club
- Volunteered at a care home for people with Alzheimer's where I spoke to residents and also led music workshops
- Worked at an Oxfam charity shop for a few months
- Volunteered at Children's Book Project, a charity where we sorted and delivered books to children in poverty

Creative & writing skils:
- Can do photography, videography, editing, design, and social media
- Experienced in writing articles, newsletters, blogs, etc
- Diploma level in violin so can teach music
- Research skills

Outdoor skills
- Experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, goats, and sheep
- Have practical skills such as gardening, cleaning, and assisting on a farm
